Lame. You might try getting some techno help from Support and Suggestions. You never know what helpful tips people have. That's where I went to get help downloading a couple new programs.

And what I'm saying is you can ask for help in Support and Suggestions. Someone there can probably help you out on how to do that or whatever else you may need.

The form does not like iPads; I cannot copy and paste it.
I would like to join.
I am Wiccan.
Username: TxCat
I don't know if you want me, though. I am not self taught. I have been pursuing pagan beliefs for over twenty-five years, the last sixteen of which have been as an initiated member of the Georgian Tradition. We were founded in Bakersfield, CA by George Pat Patterson in 1971. Depending on which elder you believe, he either studied with or was friends with Gerald Gardner. In any case, we are British Traditional based and considered on of the Gardnerian offshoots.
I hold the position of third degree priestess in general and at home where I teach I am high priestess of a provisional learning coven which is overseen by a pair of Georgian Elders in Michigan (my own coven is the only one of the Tradition in Florida).
I read a lot, of everything, from archaeology to anthopology to linguistics to home remedied to science journals. I have a huge library at home which spans those interests and then some (lots of books on different systems and the occult). My favorite Tarot deck is the Thoth followed by Hudes. I like working wih stones and crystals. Bloodstone, citrine, turquoise, amd amethyst are my favorites there. My faborite herbs are yarrow, camomile, and lavender.
So....what about you guys? And what books have you read/ are you reading related to your practices?
How do you know you are Wiccan and not neopagan or another denomination?

Re: Wiccan Witch Coven
Merry meet, TxCat!
I started as a self taught Dedicant of Wicca for about five years and in that time joined a Circle in my area at that time. I was in California, just south of San Jose. During that time I realized the reason I had never moved passed Dedicant was because what I thought I had understood from all my reading was not in fact what was being practiced and taught as Wicca. I am officially non-denominational neo-pagan and have been for three years (about), but I still practiced with my Wiccan Circle until I moved last year.
I've read a lot of everything and enjoyed most of it, even if I didn't always agree. I've been half heartedly working my way through Bulfinch's Mythology. It's the one everyone recommends, but I much preferred Edith Hamilton's Mythology. Every time I open Bulfinch I feel like bashing my head in with the book. Other than that, I haven't had much time for more reading. I've been pretty busy.
arada, the Knight of Wands (like all Knights) is a two edged thing. It's easy to take a good quality and go too far with it. Think of Knights as hormonal teenagers! Knight of Wands can be Charming or Superficial. He can be Self-Confident or Cocky. He can be Daring or Foolhardy. Adventurous or Restless. Passionate or Hotheaded. Always a fine line and it can be a line that's easy to cross. Oh well. It's a whole new day today and I got the Three of Swords. I don't need to wonder about that one, at least. Obvious enough for me.

Re: Wiccan Witch Coven
OMG i seem to be the least practised of all of you. Welcome TxCat
I havn't read many books but i have a heap of e-books on the computer that i need to start. i have been studying wicca for maybe 2 years, and i'm 17 in october, so yeah. i love the greek mythology, umm i havn't got any doctorates or anything like that. i feel like a bumm now... and unlearned. there are no covens or circles anywere near where i live so i can't really have help with someone else teaching me, so i have to be self taught but i wish i did have a mentor. ummm
I think i must still be a dedicant...

Re: Wiccan Witch Coven
You dedicate yourself for a year and a day of study (which makes you a Dedicant), at which point you have the ability to move forward and be an Initiate. Personally, I always ended up just rededicating until I finally realized it just wasn't quite right for me. I have been a part of the community for about eight years. I'm 26...hm. My math may be a bit fuzzy here. Oh well, eight is plenty, I don't need to add more. I did not bring my stash of stones and crystals with me in the move, though some came along anyways in the form of jewelry. I also left most of my books behind. Since the move is temporary, I just couldn't bring everything with me. Lame. I did bring my two Tarot decks and my set of Runes. I made them myself out of white clay and a few extra things. I just couldn't leave those behind. My fancy deck that I use for full readings is the Lewellyn Tarot. I have a teeny pocket sized deck I got from Barnes & Noble that I use for my daily card.
