Hi. I'm a big Transformers G1 fan.
In fact I like nearly all incarnations. The recent movies are a bit meh but enjoyable enough. It is just Transformers: Prime I can't stand.
But back to good things.
I'm weird for my favourite characters. Everyone likes Optimus Prime or Starscream or Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. I prefer the likes of Huffer and Cliffjumper and Wheeljack!

It's interesting that you don't like TFP cause it's one of my favorite series. Although I'm not like an old fan or anything. What didn't you like about it?
Also I'm not a big fan of OP or Starscream or the twins though Starscream in TFP is fun. I like Blurr, Bumblebee, Knock Out, and Shockwave myself though I don't have a Transformer I absolutely hate so.
It just felt too far removed from the original comics. And I find the human characters especially annoying. But I guess what they did to Wheeljack will permanantly mar it for me.

I guess that's why it didn't appeal to me either. Whilst the first Bay movie was fun enough the sequels just sort of devolved with all the worst bits from the first movie. It felt like no care was given to the characters and more on explosions and pointless humans.

The humans aren't that bad in TFP. What they did with Wheeljack though was kinda... odd. I heard he's going to return in season 2 and be an engineer then. Speaking of which I can't wait until it finally comes out~
And yeah the Bayverse movies are probably my least favorite take on Transformers but it kinda 'revived' it so it did do something for the franchise.
I haven't watched many G1 episodes but besides the campiness they're rather fun.

I can understand. Bayverse movies make me cringe. I loved the first one but the 2nd was a big pile of slag. 3rd was a little better. But yeah I liked it revived the TF love in everyones hearts and brought in more fans, like me. The first bayverse movie got me REALLY into it(Beast Wars confused me when I was little). It got me to look at Transformers Cybertron(which is my favorite) then to G1, Beast Wars, TFA, TFP, etc.
