I usually get the newest issue from pb (some nice guy puts them on there ) and when it comes out, in about 1-2 years, I´ll buy the books of the IDW collection. You can also find the books on amazon or so. But if you just want a looksie you better get it from the net somewhere.

Whasn´t that the G1 cartoon where they were created by the Quintessons? Can´t remember if they had gender though.

Yes, Solus is female, but the 13 came much later with the baymovies and aligned/prime/WFC continuity. Or was it only 7 in the baymovies?
Sometimes so many continuities are confusing.

Hmm, good question. At the beginning? Don´t know how far back you want to go with buying past books or how much money you want to spend.

I own all the current released 6 volumes of the IDW Collection. Vol. 7 is due in September. It collects all of IDWs reboted G1 comics in a recommended (if not always logical) reading order. They usually contain 16-18 issues. Price is about 50 USD or 40€. Older volumes (1-4) could be hard to get already, Vol. 5+ are still available.

Good points to step in would be All Hail Megatron or the 2 new series More than meets the Eye and Robots in Disguise

Of course you could also buy the TPBs, the prices altogether are probably the same.

Thanks that's very useful. I may save up for the IDW collection in the future but not for a long while those prices are daunting! (Volume 1 is over £200 on amazon! )

Hmm looking through I think I'll start with Transformers Classics UK.

That´s a lot. But I said vol 1-4 are hard to get already i.e. unaffordable. I guess I got lucky I still paid the regular price.
You could start from Vol 5 onwards, those are still reasonable prices (about 25 GBP).
The longer you wait the more expensive they get.

I want to get the trade for MTMTE so I can support my favorite Transformers comic series out there but my parents won't let me spend money on frivolous things.

And according to TF wiki there is also a beastformer prime and a minicon prime. Which is really cool. :O

*has the advantage not to have to ask anymore* My parents don´t even know that I have a vast collection of various comic books (X-Men, Wolverine, Elfquest - don´t know if some of you know that, and Transformers).
IMO, comics are an important part of literature and art. Alone the "freedom and peace is the right of all sentient beings"-stuff is very profound.

I hope we get to see those 13 primes in full sometime, not only as shadowy shapes.
