I thought that the main arc would have been better, if Air had been a 26-episode series and hadn't felt rushed in the end. I kind-of understood it on my rewatch, though. I didn't care much for Kano (the first girl, iirc), but I liked the Minagi/Michiru arc. I liked Misuzu's arc for the tragic atmosphere, but the story could have been so much better explained.
I wasn't able to rewatch Kanon. I didn't like how
I think that if you like harem with humour, then you might like Clannad. There is a lot of incredibly cheesy stuff in Clannad along the way (I skipped the resolutions of Kotomi and Nagisa's arcs in the first series on my rewatch, couldn't bear through them again), but there's also enough humour (heck, there are several characters whose very function seems to be to provide comic relief), including a running gag that appear in almost every episode but doesn't fail to remain funny.
There is also a kind-of mystical parallel storyline, but it isn't too bothersome. And it involves really pretty art. *A*
Also, in After Story, there is a tiny possible connection to Kanon.
@EternalFox - It took me a while to realise that beneath that weak crybaby appearance Nagisa has a lot of quiet strength, especially considering the circumstances with which she had to deal on a regular basis.
