Why are people hating on Naruto so much??XDD it seems like it became the anime most wannabee's are associated with now unlike a few years ago when everyone had the headbands

I liked Naruto the first series, then I started getting into Shippuuden kind of-ish recently.

I just don't like how it focuses completely on Sasuke. It just bugs me? I guess I liked the first series so much more, and I feel like they ran out of plot so they focused on Sasuke as the main bad guy and... Well, Naruto wants to "change" Sasuke but if Sasuke doesn't wanna change he won't. I guess that just irritates me, since Naruto is being soooooo ultimately depressed and constantly saying, "Sasuke is my friend!" to the point where it kills me. It's fine to have friends, but is Naruto blind? Sasuke wants to be evil and powerful, so he will. Sorry for the rant, i just guess maybe that's why some people don't like it. However if we're talking the first series of Naruto, I did like it, it's just not for everyone?

As for people hating on Naruto-I think a lot of that is just people's reaction to anything that gets huge and popular. They think its cool to put it down, kind of like how people spend so much energy insulting Twilight or The Hunger Games. They may also be annoyed by those who don't know much about anime, and thus think every anime is Naruto.

I was a huge Naruto fan in college when it was shiny and new, but now its lost a lot of luster. I couldn't make it through the fillers, and Shippuden disappointed me. I haven't seen a ton of Naruto fans out there, though-the new big thing seems to be...uh...

Hey guys, what's the new big thing in America? I know Hetalia was big for a while, but it seems to have died down. Madoka Magica is kinda big, but is also more niche because it hasn't aired on TV here.

Yeah, Shippuuden just disappointed me too. the art was *slightly* better and stuff, but for the most part... meh. And I yeah, Hetalia seems to be all the rage, I haven't seen it but I sometimes wonder why. XP

I prefer ecchi and romance, and that kinda thing. Naruto has none of that from the 200ish episodes I've seen. It doesn't peak my interests.
That's why I hate on it tbh...
That and it never ends.
Even in series that aren't ecchi, romance, or any of that, I like them to have a decent roundup. and an end; but Naruto has so many fillers I don't think it ever will end. It's the reason I stopped watching Bleach, although I really did love that series.

ALSO I REALLY LOVED HUNGER GAMES.

It's weird, I very much want to get an idea of what's happening (probably won't happen, eh? ), but it's exhausting enough to not let me watch large chunks of it at a time. I have a hard time bonding to any of the characters and wish that any of the family interactions in the series would be fleshed-out better (so that I would actually feel them, instead of just being told the facts), but the whole Himari-actually-should-be-dead-now plot and implications of various kinds of guilt, and the art, and the music manage to ruin my emotional stability.

Also, Ringo is a nutcase and I love how rude the magical-girl-something is.

I don't like Naruto for the same reason I don't like Soul Eater, the art is too bizarre and it just isn't funny to me.

On manga instead of anime: Bakuman ended!

This might sound a bit odd, but can someone here recommend some really, really bad anime to watch for the laughs? And with "bad" I don't mean having lots of fillers and/or generic characters, I'm looking for something outrageously ridiculous/kitschy. Something like Mars of Destruction or this thing (the review itself is hilarious).

I love Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden. The only things I don't like are, yeah, the focusing on Duckbutt(Sasuke; I hate him) and the amount of fillers. Oh, and the fact that Naruto is practically gay for Sasuke. But, otherwise, I like MOST of the characters and events. :U
