Yep! I kind of look forward to five new characters, but I'm also worried that they'll be too cliché or not as likable as the existing characters...

...Yeah, I was thrown off too, because she became really fat off of ice cream, and I would have thought people don't gain weight that fast and professional karuta players probably would watch their physique like any athlete.

Master and Chihaya would be cool, but it probably won't happen unless Arata knocks off him off as the current master and forces him to compete in tournaments again. Speaking of that though, I would really like to watch Arata versus the Master and Arata versus Taichi.

I feel like two people have been dying each month in May, there was the girl the nurse talked about and the glasses girl, and then in June, the nurse and guy with the heart problem.

The main character had only been gone for a year and a half?! What is going on?!

And I love how it look so long before they confirmed Mei actually existed. For awhile, it really had me believing that Mei was a ghost...

I agree, I was at first so confused! It all sorta unravels later, but still you have to piece it together on your own at least a little. I also thought Mei was a ghost!

Well apparently I can't tell what episode I watch last for Symphogear, but episode 12 ;-;

If you have time on your hands, I'd recommend BRS 2012. It's pretty good, I think, and it wraps up very nicely as the episodes go along. There's only eight episodes total, but it feels like a lot since quite a few things happen in each episode. I love the art, since it's in more or less the same style as the OVA, and everything's just peachy. I like the concept they created, but I felt as if they could've explored it a bit more. It starts off slowly, though, so I just have to say to watch it until the end. I like the introduction of Strength, Black Gold Saw, Chariot, and the insanity versions. It was a nice anime.

I'm thinking of starting Mirai Nikki next, but sometime during the day. It's not even tagged as horror and I'm shying away after the first five minutes xD;

I really hope not, because they can do a lot with new people.

But she loves Snowmaru just like she loves karuta! It's just like Chihaya and Daddy Bear, but at least she's not getting fat off of ice cream. I thought they were so shocked at first only because Shinobu hadn't won the East qualifiers and someone else had taken her place. I don't know, she must have eaten a lot of ice cream.

Arata versus Taichi...unless Taichi gets stronger, he's not going to be able to beat Arata. Arata's working hard now too, and he already has so much of an advantage with his game sense and accuracy. I hope Taichi gets stronger, though. Arata versus Master would be one of the most intense games in the whole series.

I gather that Chihayafuru is good? Saw it recently added to a site from which I now get most of my anime, so I could check it out after I'm done with Utena.
Speaking of which, it's messing with my mind. 9 episodes left and I'm starting to get confused about what's going on. ;__;

And I didn't think that I'd eventually get all teary over "Believe in miracles, and they will know your feelings". Shiori, you bitch.

Yep, Chihayafuru is amazing (unless you're a sci-fi/fantasy only person or automatically hate anything set in high school).

The current Queen and Master don't go through qualifiers again, so I wasn't worried about that. It was just super shocking that someone could get that fat in...what...a year? Why wasn't she practicing karuta and burning off calories?

And I like the part near the end where Yumin's teacher (I forgot his name) said how he prefers Yumin to the current queen and master who don't have teachers.

I did wonder briefly if the homeroom teacher was the dead one, but then I thought she didn't get enough screen time to be the dead one, but that was because I didn't think that was also Reiko. I didn't care about the homeroom teacher that much but I did care about Reiko...

And I can't believe so many people died all at the end. It's like everything went berserk or something.

No worries, I think pretty much of what I've watched so far is set in school at some point. And while I love sci-fi as a genre, I'm quite picky about it. :u

The ending of Utena blew me away. I think I'll need a short break from anime to process it, and will probably have to rewatch this series in a few years or so - in the middle of it, I didn't think I'd watch it more than once, but the ending is such a mindscrew that I'll have to. And I'll watch the movie in a while, too.

I'll use this break to catch up with some American series, and afterwards will watch either Another or Chihayafuru. /undecided yet

And yeah, I never even suspected the homeroom teacher... Stupid me lol. I never knew she was Reiko either so that was just weird. And yeah, I guess the calamity will keep going and going! And the end was crazy I agree. I sat there, wondering if Misaki and Sakakibara would die too. They obviously didn't , but hey. Lol. I try not to get attached to ANYONE when I watch horror anime...

I was pretty shocked when it was revealed that Reiko was the dead person, since she didn't get enough screen time so I assumed she was just another side character that's going to die sooner or later. Speaking of Reiko, is it me or did Koichi called her "mother" before she got killed? I'm pretty certain he did but I'll watch it again just in case I'm wrong.

Well, all I can say is that they deserve a nice pat on the back for doing a great job on the plot twists, the suspense, and showing us disturbing ways of dying from ordinary objects. (hint: umbrellas)

I'm about to start Another right now, will probably finish it in two sittings (tonight + possibly tomorrow). I've read the plot synopsis, but other than that I've been a good girl and haven't really read spoilers. I hope I'll like it. c:
