Math and science program. Nerdy Noodles ish nerdy. ;P
Cool! Wait, do you mean the summer program, Center for Talented Youth (CTY)!?! *gasp* I went to Duke TIP (Talent Identification Program) last summer, and it's like southern-USA's counterpart program. Although they're not directly affiliated, apparently they're similar. I think. Either way, John's Hopkins sounds like/is a really cool place. ♥
EDIT:
Wow. I've subscribed to Our Daily Bread (devotionals via email), and tonight's message was about giving credit to God. How perfectly timed.
What things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. —Philippians 3:7
Christian Believers Guild -- OPEN
Re: Christian Believers Guild -- OPEN
so this is a few days late, but i just wanted to sing praise for earlier this week. I'm still simply over whelmed with joy. I had the wonderful opportunity to accompany shadowfire to her prom, and the entire night was wonderful! I still don't know what I did to deserve her. I only give thanks every waking moment I have for the goof Lord bringing this young woman to my life!

So how's everyone been? I've been a little (...okay, a lot) lazy lately. And I've been sick with this stupid cold, but it's going away. :3 I also went to a wedding reception for my cousin yesterday. She just got married (obviously, lol), but it was kind of miserable. I was being a grouch to my parents, which I sincerely apologized to them for. >_>; Silly me.

Thanks SO much for the Christmas gifts!

Congrats on all the good news, guys! That's always great to hear. Have fun at graduation!
Bringing the not-so-good news...
One of my Boy Scout troop leaders was recently diagnosed with Glioblastoma multiforme (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glioblastoma_multiforme), a brain cancer that just never goes away. He's already had tumors and such grow back multiple times, and he's not exactly young, so it's tough on him. He just recently went through another surgery--praise God it went well--but on the way out, he had a stroke. Now his left side is paralyzed. He's going to therapy/rehab to help it hopefully regain feeling and such, and he's made considerable progress. But the if the brain cancer does come back--which is what Glioblastoma multiforme suggests--I don't know how it'll be for him. The Wikipedia page says living more than a year with it is uncommon. Which is why I'm so scared/nervous/panicky right now.
Please, please, please pray for him, because we all know that the power of prayer is great! <--supposed to be a praying face

I will pray. On the other hand I'm feeling great my back isn't hurting as much and I can jump on the trampoline with my 6 year-old twin brothers. Occasionally I do get flare ups especially after lifting heavy things. So that's pretty much it.
