You'll have more than that if you open your presents (which you can do anytime after Christmas). They'll be fine. (My friend told me this one tbh)

You will not be able to pick up new eggs till you hatch the ones you have (once you have only 3 slots full, you can start picking up eggs like normal). The eggs do not get taken away.
