I agree with this!

So just spending time on Magistream can help?

^This.

I would gladly buy a ton of these donation breeding potions if they get released since I bread of breeding my older donation pets.

Here's a few ideas to help at the moment:
  • Put up some sort of banner on the top of the site that links to this announcement, like the crash bar we had.
  • I see how we can't get a progress bar, but can we get a number so we know how much we need to help? (Numbers help give people a better mental image.)
  • Doni breeding potions and any other easy-to-add(?) donor perks (a special hidden forum area would be easy and nice).

I agree. Is anyone seriously going to rage quit if we have a banner-ad at the top of the site?

It doesn't, not alone. But increased users means a possible higher number of donors.

I won't quit just because there's a banner-ad or two. If it brings money to the site is worth having to deal with the adds, is better than watching Magistream die.

I highly support the ideas of both adds and shard breeding potions.

I posted a link to MS explaining what is going on on my RP pages on Facebook. Enough people will see it to help a little, hopefully.

I'm also going to talk to my parents about donating again.

There's no way we can let MS go offline.

Also, I won't flip if MS gets ads. I mean, most sites do. If it brings in the money, then by all means, do it.

Likewise (in terms of supporting shards). Frankly, the main reason I have been donating a monthly 20$ (which is about all I can afford) is simple: I have been using new donis to barter for pairs of the older ones I really want. Once i get a female HF cerberus, that will be done and dealt with. The main thing I do to pass my time on MS is to breed some of the more "pricey" stuff and pass the offspring down to newbies, to give them a boost when they start out. Considering what I breed, this tends to mean some time passes between me being able to do this *cough*uncooperativecrystalwings*cough*. However, with the potion...I have a constant incentive to donate monthly, not just if I happen to like a month's creatures or not. Seriously, check my keep-almost all of my donis are in the "main" tab and the garden. Almost all of them are older donis I would jump at the chance to breed and distribute.

I would buy tons of those potions but i cant as the ways to get shards well i cant buy them in any way provided. I also wouldn't mind having a few banners if it keeps the site alive.

I wish I could help. Maybe I could go to the site I usually visit (DC if you've been wondering) and ask more people to join, of course if nobody has done that already.

About the breeding doni potion, I think it would be a great idea, for many people would wish to breed their creatures (like me, if I had a couple) and it would help the site.

I don't want to see this site dying, I will try to ask my parents to donate if possible, but I know that the answer may be no.

I hope the shard raffle works.

I like the idea of the doni-breeding potion. You could buy it for the same price as a doni. If you can only use it once, people would have to buy a lot of them.

Also, what if we had a renaming feature available for shards? Same as the potion, use only once? People have wanted to rename creatures for a while. I think that could mean good money for the site.

And if you wanted to get really fancy, for a hefty sum you could sell an unfreezing feature for one use. It'd have to be expensive to be worth the effect it'd have on the site, but I think it'd make money in the end.

And as crazy as this sounds, what if the doni releases were more each month? Instead of having two month and one mid-month, what if we had one beginning, one middle, and one end month doni? Or something of the sort? It might be more work for the artists unless you can split up the normal workload to spread it out. More oppurtunities to donate means more money, even if you aren't putting out any more than usual.

Any of these along with ads on the site might be enough to pull MS through the rough spots.
