Hi! I Like Making Cross-Stitch/Needleart Patterns!

Post by Anthropophagist »

I've had this idea since I first started Magistream (which wasn't very long ago, to be fair), so I figured I'd make you all some cross-stitch patterns to use at your will and whim!
I'll try to keep them all simple, so no half-stitches or quarter-stitches or specialty stitches, if I can help it. There MIGHT be some beading and backstitching involved, but nothing super difficult.

I plan on making a couple of them myself, but while I make patterns, I'll make them available to you guys too, whoever wants to do so.

All patterns are free for use and modification, if you so desire.
Instructions are below the images of the pattern and components and are suggestions to start, not definitive.

I take requests for all stages of critters, so long as the sprite artists give me the go-ahead to share (ie they're on the list in the Rules post, saying it's okay to use their stuff)!

Wow, these designs are so nice!! It's really cool how pixel art lends itself to cross-stitching art, I think.

This is too cool! Love your cross-stitching!!! Is it easier because they are already pixtels, that it's easier to transfer to the fabric?

i actually haven't stitched any of these yet; the images are proposed previews made by the program i use to make the patterns.
but, being pixel sprites does make it easier for said program to translate into patterns.

Aaahh! This is so freaking awesome! I keep meaning to try getting into cross stitching, but I'm in the middle of an embroidery right now. Still, this kind of coolness reminds me to try it and this might just push me to learn sooner rather than later! Thank you for doing this!

When you're done with your embroidery and would like to try, feel free to contact me! I'll be happy to help get you started, as well as be a stitching buddy if you'd like one!
You're very welcome, and thanks!
