Pixel Art and More!

Post by Aufheben »

Hi!

I used to play Magi a lot, but was absent up until now. A few years back I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I attempted to study biology, and though I liked the subject and did well in the classes, I was not happy participating, and could not see myself being happy with such a job.

Magistream is one of the sources I cite as my inspiration for wanting to go into the field of game design as a concept artist; I made my own pixel creations in an attempt to further that notion, and I wish to share some of them with you all today!

This is my portfolio, and it mostly consists of pixel art:

(Hopefully this is an acceptable way of sharing this)

I've been told that the images are small, but all one needs to do is download and zoom in for detail, or utilize some alternative zoom tool.

While I'm at it, I would love to get tips on how to improve, as well as constructive criticism and commentary. I am currently making art for a game and freelancing for some extra money as I make my way through an arts and entertainment curriculum at my school.

Thanks for your attention everyone, and happy holidays!

I know this post is a few months old but I just wanted to say that your work is astounding! You make great use of the textures pixel art can create and the color choices in the Mangrove pieces are beautiful. The dithering in your creature sprites really add a level of detail. Keep up the good work! Your art is inspiring.
