That sounds like fun! I've got a final in a few hours, but I really wanted to start. I sketched out a couple of dragon heads, but I hope I'll find the time to try an entire hydra soon!

Oh dear, I left out a space behind a horn... And I've only just remembered that their flames would cast different shadows... Well, I'd never done a dragon before, but no better way to practice than a dragon with five heads!

I'll edit this post when I try again, I think. i should try when I'm not half asleep... And there's so much to learn about the anatomy of these guys, I want to learn this more than I want to learn about photosynthesis.

I'm going to Sendai in Japan for three weeks, and then my school group'll do a two week tour period! I'm pretty excited - we're a small school, so they don't always get enough people interested in doing the summer program to actually run it! We have to have a paper about a research topic we'll be working on while we're there, though, and I'm swamped with finals up until the due date for that paper, and then we leave!

I'd been all set to do Unit 731 with the bioethics professor who's leading our group, but I had a sudden change of heart, and I think I'll do something about the Chinese immigrant population in Japan!

I cited familiarity with the Chinese-American population as my springboard, but in all honesty, there's a ramen factory in Yokohama... ovo;;

I'm hoping I can bring my tablet with me to keep on this art practicing-roll I've been on, but it doesn't look possible.

Returned from the trip a long time ago!

It was really wonderful, but I realized in the airport: I had my tablet and my pen... but I'd forgotten the wire. In the DC airport, I walked through three terminals until I found a kiosk selling portable batteries that came with a USB 2.0 cord, but when that was too short and didn't work, I spent my entire trip scouring the cities we went to for more cords.... all of which didn't work! In the end, I got home and plugged it in again, but it still didn't work, so I sent it in for repairs because the port had been damaged all along!

Classwork has kept me really busy, and until spring break, I actually hadn't really used my tablet again. This time, I have some silly doodles of characters from Oumagadoki Zoo, sent to a friend who's participating in their first hackathon! > v< And I have a redo of Azure's OC, and two first sketches of WhatNames' really cute characters! ;;;; Far too late, though, since it looks like they haven't logged in for a while. OTL

Did you say you were considering commissions? Because I would totes try to bribe you...then again, I've missed a bunch of creatures too, so I'm not sure how successful I'll be...

I do lots of little doodling pictures on my notes and while studying for things. My roommate was literally beating me over the head with a pillow, yelling "WRITE. YOUR. FINAL. PAPER!" because I kept getting distracted with doodles and everything else had failed to stop me.

They're nothing much, and particularly because I never flesh these out, I'm not sure I can do completely lined and colored pieces for the creatures and small requests I want to try out, but if anyone has anything they'd like to see doodled, I'd be happy to give it a shot for free, if you'd let me. In the spoiler are a few I have on hand from my phone because I've been doodling my oc's and my friend's oc's.

Also going to put this here! I'm really excited about one of my first full color pieces. @ v@ I always have a lot of trouble coming up with an idea of what or who to draw, let alone put the time into coloring. I actually don't do very well with fan art, because I'd rather doodle on paper and leave it at that.
