Crochetstream?

Post by sltayntor »

Hello!
I love the creature designs on Magistream, and because I love writing crochet patterns I wanted to try my hand at some magistream creatures. As far as my previous pattern-writing experience, I have made Homestuck troll horns that are attached to hats, and a Jirachi as well as some other patterns that are less relevant to this project.
Please let me know what creatures you would like to see! I will also be making the patterns available to my fellow magi for free. ^_^

(my current favorite idea is a cukurba)

I would absolutely love to see a crochet verikan. It's been the project I've been planning to do roughly forever, once I gain the skill to actually design a pattern.
Kestrad has been eaten by life. She'll probably pop back in occasionally.

I can help you design if you need it ^_^
It's really just trial and error. I recommend making a couple amigurumi so that you can get a grasp of the basics and then just play around with it.

That would be awesome :D

I kind of sort of know some of the basics? Like I'm pretty sure I know how I'd make a tube shape, but what I kind of love about the Verikan design is the way the body curves, which I have no idea about, and that intense beak looks hard to make as well. And I'd probably just ignore the patterns on the body and use a yarn needle or something later to put them in... :derp:

I have a basic idea of how to do curves, but the most I've done with them is to make Megido horns from homestuck which are like ram horns.
