Ball: Image This is the first one i made
Cookie: Image this is the second one i made
IceCream cone: Image This is the third one i made ^.^

I would love to know how to improve, and how to get ideas on what to do, cause all i can think about what to draw is food....
Also, i'm using gimp if that helps. Oh, and how do i make backgrounds clear?

Using references helps. Um... Simple objects are a good start. I know when I first started out, the first thing people told me to work on was the shading, but it looks like you've got that down. I started by re-drawing Pokemon sprites in MS Paint. :derp: Not sure if that's what you want to do, but it's good practice.

Ball: round off the corners. The shading is decent, but needs to be rounder, and have some highlights from light reflecting off the ground/elsewhere, ex.

Cookie: looks pretty good, I'm not so good with flat objects though. Munin made cookies for an event of hers at one point and could better give you pointers, so try posting in her thread.

Ice cream cone: is this shaded? If yes, you need to make the shading darker, and highlights brighter. Also, you'll want to curve the lines on the cone so that it looks rounded, not flat.

Cute though, and good for your first tries!

I didn't really shade the ice cream that well,as it was late and i think i was watching a movie at the same time, I'll edit it up and post it later in the week; same with the ball. Tks for your advice

i would love to recolour sprites, and i was trying to do them from Magistream, but for some reason i couldn't get it to work on Gimp, it only colours in black and white in the files

When you open one of the MS sprites with GIMP, go to Image at the top, then Mode > RGB. It should work then. ^_^
