I know, I know...but talking ...to people xD
But I will have to try that next year, perhaps I can convince one of my friends to come with me, they´re all looking for jobs, too, anyway xD
___
I hadn´t really thought about that. I hadn´t sprited for over a year and when a friend asked me to do a dragon sprite for them a few weeks back it took me forever and didn´t look very good xD
I think I´d have to practice for a while until I could sprite as well as I did before my hiatus xD

Re: Munin´s art
Well, the reason why I was wondering was because there's another site I joined recently (some of the sites I was on died) and they are lacking artists and was wondering if you'd be possibly interested in checking it out. It's okay if you say no, I was just wondering. It's an avatar site and they need help badly. =( They don't have enough people to make new items on it for events and regular releases. I told them that I'd mention it to you to see if you might be interested but that I couldn't guarantee that you would do it.

Re: Munin´s art
Thanks!
I´ll have to do a few tests to see if I can match that style. I am not familiar with anime-style art and it is not pixel art in the narrower sense as it is tool-shaded (so not painted pixel by pixel but rather with a gradient-/blur-tool) *clicks through threads to find examples*

Re: Munin´s art
Here's a tutorial done by one of the artists there, and true, it is more of that tool shaded thing, but I didn't know that until they mentioned it and I had no idea what they meant at first.

Re: Munin´s art

Looking for Tinsel, please pm me
Re: Munin´s art
Your avatar is another thing again, that´s pure digital painting. What they are doing is...something in between.
But from the tutorial I can see what they are doing, basically they sprite something and then they use the blur tool on it (an utterly unforgivable sin from the standpoint of a "real" pixel artist xD)

Re: Munin´s art
lol, I was actually talking to someone about my concerns about getting girly items and they said you don't have to worry about it because none of them were pixelist. So Munin is correct, its not pixel art for what they are doing. And they even say its not pixel art.
