The room was so quiet you could hear a mouse burp. I bore into the eyes of my little brother, forcing him to proclaim the truth. Beads of sweat that formed on my brother’s forehead quickly turned to waterfalls of perspiration that drizzled down his face. My eyes started to water, but I forced myself not to blink. I was so close to getting the truth out of him. I couldn’t just give up now.
“Keep persevering, keep going!” My mind screamed at me.
My eyelids grew heavy. I could keep going. I needed to blink. Three… Two…
The exact moment I was about to blink, my little brother screamed. “I did it! I ate the last cookie!”
“See I knew you’d confess sooner or later!” I yelled, standing up so abruptly that I knocked my chair over. “ In your face!”
“Yeesh, you don’t have to rub it in. Everyone knows you can get the truth out of anyone just by staring at them,”I grumbled my annoying little brother.

My brother exclaimed 'If someone used my notebooks without my permission then I don't see why I can't eat a cookie!' I looked at him with surprise. I didn't know he had a notebook collection. He seemed to realise what he had when he saw my face. But it was too late . My brother had finally fallen to our family notebook addiction.

He glared at me, placing his hands together. I choked a laugh back but i soon broke out in laughter. After I calmed, I'd shoot him a glance. He was watching me with a straight face, making me grin. "So, Joining the notebook heretics are ya?" I'd state sassily, placing a hand on my hip and bending my left knee..

My brother jumped back into a panic, an anxious look formed into his eyes. "W-What?! N-No!" He looked around nervously, rubbing his left hand on his neck, swishing away and sweat that may have escaped there. "I just...like...notebooks is all." His tone started growing more frantic with the realization of the hole he had dug himself into.
I couldn't help but laugh more, almost falling to the floor. His face was to priceless, and his tone was even better. All the tension from before was withered away in an instant, now full of a mixture of frustration and laughter.
