Hey guys! I'm working on a new story right now that has a pantheon of gods. They interact greatly with the main character and some of them are essential to the plot, so I want to some good world-building for them. I basically have two things I want suggestions on:

1. I need to flesh out my pantheon, so what different kinds of gods would you find interesting? (e.i. nature, thunder, war, love, etc)

2. I am planning on creating different tiers of gods, such that some gods are more powerful and important than others. I want three or five tiers, depending on how big my pantheon ends up. So, what criteria would you suggest for assigning a god to a tier? Feel free to use examples.

My current pantheon:
Thunder and Smithing God
Love God
Love and Birthing Goddess
Nature Goddess
Sun God
Lightning Goddess
War God
Death God
Dream and Moon Goddess
