Boredom:
Spoiler
I've seen it all
I've served
in countless battles
until a hero's eternal glory
grows dull,
like a rusty blade, waiting to be polished
by the blood of war
the whoop and cry of young men
who cannot hear my advice
until their final hour,
with my name on their lips
Mortals will be born
they'll eat, breathe, mate, and die
but I will carry on
my usual routine while others live
life without aim
is Death just the same.

I love prompts about birds! ^^

His crown is of emeralds
Cloaked in dark azure feathers
Each shining like a lazuli teardrop
from some distant cavern, wings' drifts away
And if eyes be peridots
he has one tail full
His eyes are like blood rubies
against a silver crown
But his call is like a rabbit's
as a wolf pulls it down
the women say, and strut, and say
He is the raja of their hearts.

Prompt: write about the time of day it is when you read this post, and if you have time, look outside, and write it again.

Sorry I've been gone for so long! I was given a prompt by Applemint forever ago, and I never answered. So, here is my writing. The punctuation is probably a little off, since I'm not great at that. Also, I have a tendency to write really long stories, so this is the intro of what I would have written, but I didn't want to post something like four pages here.
Spoiler
Knock! Knock! I woke up. Ugh! I though, I really don’t want to get out of bed. I rolled over, looked at the clock on my bedside table. It was exactly Midnight. I got up, threw my robe on and meandered towards the door, at this point wary enough to be wondering who in the world was knocking on my door at midnight. I also was unsure whether or not to answer it, as I hadn’t answered the door in a long time. At that point though, I wasn’t awake enough to remember why. The house was quiet, my parents and sister were still asleep at that point. I peered through the view hole on the door to see who it was that was knocking on the door at midnight. That’s when I remembered why I never answer the door anymore.
You see, I live in a very strange neighborhood. We get strange people at our our door all the time. Three years ago, just after we moved here, my mom answer the door, and there on our step was a cheetah cub! And it had been pawing at the door like a cat that wanted to be let in! Although, I suppose it was a cat. Anyway, we took the cub to the local zoo, and thought not much of it after that. The next year, just after my birthday, my older sister answered the door to find exactly what I had wanted for my birthday, but hadn’t gotten because it made no sense. A dragon. A real, live, baby dragon was sitting on our doorstep. Oh, and one more thing, it could talk! The dragon’s name was Alicia, and she still lives in the neighborhood. The next year, last year, in June, where their are lots of tourist, there showed up at our door a German man, who didn’t speak english. However, since my Dad had been to Germany he understood what the man wanted. Dad sent the man away after about a minute of listening to him. Later, my dad said that the man had wanted to sell us illegal drugs. Nothing quite that strange had happened yet this year, although there was a giant bunny found a couple houses down near Easter. Well, the nothing strange strange part had just changed, as there, on the doorstep, was a man that was covered in blood and looked as though he would dead in a couple minutes.
Thats when my family ceased to be asleep. I screamed. I mean, I was scared of the dragon, and I wanted to pet the giant bunny, and keep the cheetah cub, but I was scared of blood. I know, slightly strange, since I am made of it, or contains lots of it, but I just can’t stand seeing it not in someones body. At that point, my dad came running down the stairs, still wearing his pajamas, and saw me standing there, terrified. “The man,” I said, “The man on the doorstep.”
“Oh, fun. What’s happened this year?” My dad said. He gently moved me over and peered through the view hole. Slowly, his face turned white. “Jessica! Get down here now!” He cried, and through open the door. The man moved, just a little bit, and smiled. Then he passed out.
My older sister nearly passed out right next to him when she came down stairs, closely followed by our mother. Mom had thrown on her robe as well, and was carrying the first aid kit from the upstairs medical supplies. Maybe I should mention at this point, my mother’s name is Jessica and she is a nurse at the local hospital. She looked at the man, and quickly instructed me to go back to bed and dad to go fold down the examination table in the living room. No only is my mother a nurse, she practically has the whole hospital right in the house! I don’t know what happened next, because my I followed my mom’s instruction and went back to bed. However, I did not get back to sleep for several hours.
Oh, if only I hadn’t gotten up. I had the only bedroom on the first floor, I was the only one to hear the knocking. If I had just ignored it, nothing would have happen. The man would have died, and not have released a world killing plague onto our house. No, the virus would have died on the man, and nothing would have happened. Oh, but boy did it happen.
Prompt for Sparktail: You get back from taking your dog for a walk and discover that someone has robed your house. Strangely though, the only thing gone is your pet fish. While investigating the stand, you spot a trail of water leading out the back door. When you open the back door though, your back yard is gone. Instead, there is a giant garden that you've never seen before. Stepping out, the door vanishes behind you. Your dog was still following you, so now you are stuck in a giant garden with nothing but your pet dog and a trail of water to follow. Shrugging, you start walking, with your dog following you.

It's long, sorry. Sorry I didn't answer your prompt Sparktail, as that seemed to be what you were expecting, but that's not how it's suppose to work. Have fun!

Raptor, If you meant the prompt I posted on the post before you, that was for StarPainter... :wtf:
Spoiler
We’ve been walking for a while,
me and my imaginary dog,
traversing the watery trails
all that’s left
of an imaginary fish.

Stolen by an imaginary cat
Mile for mile,
over the logs,
down the block,
in a nearby storm drain.
it lies inside, and yet
we cannot find it

Leave it I wish,
it’s just a fish,
but still, we press on,
me and the dog,

We cross over pairs of tracks
that we had made before
but just maybe
it was meant to be

For everyone traverses a path pre-sown
but together
is always better
than rambling alone.
edit: AAh! sorry about not providing you a prompt, Sourikus!

[I'll get to your prompt ASAP! for now, have a funny sentence in a pair of brackets! -__-]
StarPainter is on unannounced hiatus. And... my prompt...?
Spoiler
A missile fireball sailed past my head, exploding harmlessly behind me. I ignored the strangled cry from behind me, instead jamming my hat back on. A sudden beam of light blinded me, and when I could see, he was there, with his demonic hound beside him. With a scream, I lunged forth, however I was a bit too late. As the hound sank its claws into my chest, I thought, at least I tried.

I was so close. Or was I?

Mind if I join in?

For Applemint: There is a special hell for the undeserving, and it's called war.
