Just a neat idea that I thought I'd share. :3
This style of poetry is basically taking a newspaper article and taking words from it to create a story or description, of sorts. It doesn't necessarily require perfect grammar or a storyline at all. I believe this was created by a guy named Austin Kleon (?).
This video probably explains the process a lot better than I could-
You could probably do this with any sort of article, even ones online- just take a screen shot of an article and open up MS Paint! So if you have some free time on your hands, you could probably get an old newspaper out and just make poems.

Re: Blackout Poetry
This looks really interesting. And I think I'll give it a try when I have more time and am less tired.

Re: Blackout Poetry
I did this at a cool writing class, with a photocopy of a section of Harry Potter, book 4. It turned into a poem about books & libraries. Tres cool.
On a semi-hiatus, will be more active in the summer.
