Song Stories – Writers Wanted!

Unless you are a writer here

Song Stories HQ

Welcome! Were you intrigued by the name of this place? I shall explain why it is called so. I came up with the idea while listening to a song over the radio on my trip to the Smoky Mountains and decided I’ll give it a try. Basically I and a few other writers, who I will hire, will listen to songs and then create short little stories based around the song!
The writers themselves will decide how the story goes and how the song fits; we may even quote from the song. Then each writer will have their own characters to use in their own stories. All they have to do is make up a name, age, and a picture for each character because their attitudes, personalities, and the like may have to change to fit the song.
Oh yes, and each of the stories may have different “moods” and/or ratings. As most songs, from this century, are a little explicit, the writers will post what each story is rated. Ratings will be listed below; we will have our own little system. Song Stories will also have another thread where everyone can suggest songs to either all the writers, where we decide who does the story, or to a specific writer. No suggestion will be ignored but this is a FREE deal so please be respectful of the writers who take time to write these lovely stories for you.

@Writers: TWO WRITERS WANTED!!! To become an artist all you have to do is PM me a short story, any story will do. Just don’t forget to tell me that your sending it to be a writer at “Song Stories” ^_^
Also, you can create your own characters, but they will need to be approved by me so send them in through PM. Once accepted, I will post them here in the first post so everyone can check out each writer’s characters. Each post will be set up the same, like this:
Title of Story
Title of Song – Link to Video
Who sings/wrote the Song
Rating

Story
The link will need to be to a YouTube video that is the song with lyrics. My first story will be a good example.
@Everyone: One last thing, if there are many, and the writers are willing, who want a story to continue then after the main “song story” part will be just a story and may not be related to the song at all. On to the characters!

Wishes in a Well
Call Me Maybe – Link
By: Carly Rae Jepsen
A

Jay dropped a coin into an ancient stone well, that had tendrils of green ivy growing up the sides. The full moon's light barely reflected off of the rippling water as the silver coin dropped into the black waters. Making a silent wish, or plea, Jay hoped for a decent guy, one better then Derek.
Earlier, she was going to walk up to him and hand him a letter but then Rose walked up to him and clung onto him. Rose had kissed Derek, shooting Jay an evil grin. Hopes gone, Jay had run off and found this well.
"Maybe a second to get rid of the jerk," Jay mused sourly. Setting the unopened letter on the top of the well, She pulled out another coin to toss.
"Will you tell me your wish?" A voice asked from the other side of the well just as Jay let the coin drop. She looked up at the boy who spoke just as the second coin plopped into the water at the bottom of the well. Eyes wide, Jay simply mumbled, "I'll never tell."
The boy's smile was gentle, his gaze tender, and his eyes as blue as the ocean. He held his gaze with her, skin showing through his ripped jeans and his black hair blowing softly in the breeze. The hot night air clouding her judgment, Jay took off running in the opposite direction, just to get away.

She stopped, panting hard, as she arrived home. Jay had slunk out quietly to see Derek and now she'll have to sneak back in. Luckily, her sister, Emma, had left a window to their shared room open. None the wiser, Emma was waiting for her. "Did you meet him?! Did he take the note?!" Emma badgered quietly. Her short brown hair waving around wildly as Emma bobbed up and down. Jay looked into Emma's green eyes and shook her head.
Then she remembered. Jay almost screamed. She had left the note on the well by the cute guy. After relaying the night to Emma, Jay explained how she had left the note by the boy she had never seen before. Emma simply laughed at her.
"Well what did the note say?" Emma asked after a moment.
"Promise you won't laugh?" Jay begged and Emma nodded.
Jay struggled to speak the words aloud but eventually said, "Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my number, so call me, maybe?"
Emma smiled, obviously trying hard not to laugh, but couldn't hold it and busted out laughing.
Both girls jumped as Jay's phone went off. She had a new text by a number neither recognized, though they could both take a guess.

[This letter wasn't meant for me, was it?] The text asked.
Jay replied, [Umm, who is this?]
A few seconds later came a reply, [The guy by the well, but you'll know more of me by the end of tomorrow.]
"Oooooh, Jay's got a admirer!" Emma joked before the girls mother came in and shooed them to bed.
