Well, you could just have us PM you our stories. That way we won't see a single thing. :haha:

But the suspense will kill us D:

Well, I run contests every now and then, and I have finaly come to a verdict for the plagiarising writers.
I will bann them, forever. Friend or no friend, plagiarism is plain wrong.

I see no reason fior people not to post them in the contest thread. If they want to plagiarise, they can be put on a blacklist and get scolded at by Raneth (XD not really). Easy as that, it means nothing if someone plagiarises because they will get caught.

Yes, but if you see someone else's story, you might get a really cool idea from it. And then you'd use it in your story. As for the person who wrote the story, it would be kind of unfair for xir because you used xir's story as a source of ideas.

If you get my drift. :derp:

I see your point, and it is a bitg one. But I guess, well, if you don't post your stories in the entry thread then how are people supposed to know if we are judging fairly, but of course I promise to.

Hey, you told me to make a thread. XD

But I agree that that would make things complicated: 5 PM's/person (I'd want each one separate for judging) * 3-ish people so far = Flooded inbox + Message hoarder + Full folders = HOLYCRAPWHATDOIDOWITHTHIS.

Haha. Off topic. Back on now.

Since I don't feel like quoting that plagiarism thing up there, Fox had the idea why I originally wanted to have them PM'd.

Symie, I guess that they'd have to take our word.

I don't think that judging this thing will be as hard as I thought that it would be. :wat:

I guess, but would we post the winning story and then show it in written form?

What?

If you mean that we'd do something along the lines of this...
The first-place winner is _________ with their story ____________:
[insert story under spoiler here]
Then that's what I was thinking that we'd do. :derp: Sorry for not telling you before. It slipped my mind. :derp:

Yes that is what I meant. That is a great idea.

Thanks!

There's one other detail, but I'll PM you.

Guys, as a mod, I'd vastly prefer it if the entries were available for everyone to see. I can't exactly check for plagiarized entries if I can't see them.

Aside from that, contests are supposed to be fun ways for entrants to share their writing with other people, as well as win prizes. Making all entries private defeats that purpose.
