Oh! Oh! I have a question! Pick me! Pick me!
-clears throat- Do our stories have to be completely original or can we do fanfiction too?

Re: Contest: 100 Themes
Well, I see no reason it is shouldn't be allowed, but if you look at the post where we say what we are looking for as a judge, completely original.Cocoa wrote:Oh! Oh! I have a question! Pick me! Pick me!

OH CRUD. That was rule 11. I knew that I was missing something.Cocoa wrote:Oh! Oh! I have a question! Pick me! Pick me!

Ya see, when I was typing up the rules, I forgot what rule 11 was. Then I remembered, but forgot to put it in because I was all excited.
EDIT: Sorry, it was actually in rule 9. Now I have no idea what 11 was for.
So, no, you can't. I'm really sorry, that's my fault for forgetting, though Symie made a valid point.
Maybe one of these days, I'll make a fanfiction writing contest, just to make it up to you.
Thanks! I'm still getting the rules together, as you can see, so y'all have about a week before this is offically open.Kestrad wrote:This is an awesome contest idea. I will definitely be interested in entering!
And if you guys know anybody who might be interested in judging, let them know! /shameless begging
I will be on a school field trip to Washington, D.C. until Friday, June first. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Re: Contest: 100 Themes
Well, I would be interested in judging, but then I wouldn't have an excuse to write flash fiction.

Re: Contest: 100 Themes
EY WAIT A MOMENT. Only I get to write flash fiction! *Mock angry face*
Anyways, I'm going to enter with my epical stories of epicalness! Actually, they're not that epic, but according to CrystalRose here I'm a good writer. *COUGH COUGH BIASED COUGH COUGH*
I'm just kidding with you all. Except for the entering the contest part.

^ Why we need more judges. Sorry, Fox...I'll be too biased. Seriously.Fox wrote:EY WAIT A MOMENT. Only I get to write flash fiction! *Mock angry face*

Re: Contest: 100 Themes
I think I could work on a story as an example if you would like Crystal.
Oh, and just wondering but how long or short should these stories be?

By the way, Crystal, there are two Rule #9's.CrystalRose wrote: o9. Stories must be in the range of one to three thousand words. Have nine hundred? Okay. 3,100? That's fine, too. Just don't write a novel.

Re: Contest: 100 Themes
But I think that we're good. Actually, my goal was to somehow find a way to not let them see each others' work so that the ideas would be completely original.o9. Stories must be in the range of one to three thousand words. Have nine hundred? Okay. 3,100? That's fine, too. Just don't write a novel.
But there's no way that that would happen. So I just slapped 'NO PLAGIARISM on there and hoped for the best.
There are other examples out there, but I can't link ya to them...I've seen way too many plagiarism issues in the past.
I just noticed that when I was quoting. I wonder if that's what 11 was for.Fox wrote:By the way, Crystal, there are two Rule #9's.CrystalRose wrote: o9. Stories must be in the range of one to three thousand words. Have nine hundred? Okay. 3,100? That's fine, too. Just don't write a novel.
