Just one story. Only one story from each person can win, however. So you can't win first, second, and third place.PhoenixFireDream wrote:Oh, ok!
BTW, are you judging on 1 short story or the "set"?

Re: Contest: 100 Themes
I'm not sure how I'll do, but I'd like to give this a shot! This might be just the thing to get me to sit down and actually write, instead of goofing off!

Re: Contest: 100 Themes
Question- can the stories have situation's you've been in/ be stuff that goes on in your head, or do they have to be a completely fictional story that has nothing to do with you what-so-ever except that you wrote them?

Re: Contest: 100 Themes
I bet this was already asked, but I'm too lazy to scan every post on the past 8 pages.
But to the question: Would it count as plagiarism if I, for ex, use the lyrics to a song?
Not so that the song is the story, but more like the character is listening to the song, though it has nothing to do with the actual story. Or the character is practicing and playing the guitar, and he's playing that song, and listen to it on his headphones for guidance. Or something of the like.
I'd like to make sure before I actually start writing the thing I have in mind

Re: Contest: 100 Themes
As far as I know, that is not plagarism. Indeed, I hear that most bands would welcome any mention of any of their songs or lyrics so that people buy the song.

No, so long as you mention that you didn't write the song.Woxai wrote:I bet this was already asked, but I'm too lazy to scan every post on the past 8 pages.
