Congrats everyone. ALL of the poems had a personal touch and were fun to read. Thanks Symie for having such a cool and thought provoking contest.

The true spirit of Christmas
Is giving
Whether you are White
Or Black
Or Gay
Or Strait
Or Old
Or Young
Or Rich
Or Poor
Christmas is about Giving
the outside doesn't matter
the inside does

I know I won't win a prize (the contest is already over! ) but I saw this topic and was inspired~ I wrote it before I saw the contest was over, and just had to share it with people!

For those who love writing, depending on your age, there are many great magazines/e-zines looking for poem/short story writers and artists. For the younger crowd, Teenink is a great way to get your first piece published.
