IN SEARCH OF DRAGONS

FROM MY JOURNEY DIARY
August, 17th
"I received a letter from Shirel in Arkene, an expert in northern flora and fauna. She found some Icist traces in Silva Forest: she thinks that some specimens found a refuge somewhere in the forest the last spring probably after being lost on the wrong side of Alasre Mountains. I think it's quite unlikely that such beasts got lost; the traces found were probably left by the more common Coal Wyrm. Anyway she asked me to plan a research expedition in Silva Forest for October, the best period to find in such habitat an Icist without the danger of snowstorms ice, and low temperature."

November, 26th
"It was about a month I was wandering with my companions in the northern part of Silva Forest, near the glaciers line, in search of the "lost" Icist presence. Yesterday we arrived in a long glen, closed at the end by a huge glacier. Climbing the opposite slope, we saw a lot of dragon tracks; we stopped nearby and pitched the camp. Surprisingly this morning, at the base of the glacier we saw a couple of Icist with two little hatchlings emerging from a big cave inside the ice. We stopped what we're doing to follow the familiy. The dragons descendend down the mountain following a little river and then they passed all day sunbathing near the stream. I've just sent Syrio, my ice gryphon, to Arkene with a message for Shirel. Tomorrow we'll start the return trip. We've found what we're looking for!"
