Susie tried the salsa. It was really, really good, for being stored in a hollow tree. "This is good, Lancer." Susie said, grinning. "How much do you have?"

Lancer grinned back, glad Susie liked the salsa. "Thank you! Lesser Dad taught me how to make it! I have enough to fill the tree stump, if you would like some more!"
Ralsei smiled at watching this, glad the two seemed happier now. Kara and Kris smiled as well.

"Heh, that'd be great. Who is 'Lesser Dad', by the way?" Susie asked, brightened by the prospect of more salsa.

Lancer smiled and retrieved more salsa from the tree stump for Susie. "Well, Lesser Dad is the one who takes care of me mostly... My dad's usually too busy to take care of me, aside from yelling at me sometimes... So he has Lesser Dad watch over me instead. Lesser Dad is pretty nice, actually..." Lancer trailed off, then smiled. "Anyway, we'll probably be able to talk with him when we reach the castle, if you want to meet him...?"

"Yeah, meeting him would be great. Thanks," Susie said as she ate more of the delicious salsa. "You'll have to give me the recipe for this, it's good." She meant it, too. Cooking wasn't usually her thing, but she'd do it if it meant more salsa.

Lancer smiled at Susie. "I can make salsa for you whenever you want, you know! What are friends for, right?" Lancer seemed excited to be able to cook for his new friend.
Kris smiled slightly as they listened to the conversation, feeling glad the two had become friends. It certainly made this strange situation a bit better, having their conversation to listen to. Though they had never really had friends- aside from Kara, though they weren't entirely sure if she counted, considering their only 'conversations' consisted of her narrating stuff for them- watching Lancer and Susie's friendship made them slightly wistful. They wanted to have a close friend like that. But since they didn't talk, who would want to be friends with them?
Ralsei was also happy for Lancer and Susie, but similarly to Kris, felt the desire to have a close friend. After being alone for so long, even someone he could just be in the presence of would make him happy. But he supposed he shouldn't complain; at least the other heroes of the prophesy were here now, and he was able to be by their sides during their journey. Though, after they completed the prophesy, wouldn't they just go back to their world, leaving him alone? Well, Susie seemed to be considering staying with Lancer, but Ralsei would still be alone... The prince of darkness forced back a sigh, not wanting the others to notice he was feeling a bit down; he certainly didn't want to ruin their good moods! 'Snap out of it, Ralsei...' he told himself.

Hope brightened up, smiling. "Awesome~! My name's Hope. So..erm..uh..what even is the project, Nix....?"
