Throughout the ages, there have been many defenders to the many horrors that exist in this world. Horrors, both dark and evil. Horrors like the vile undead, the wicked demons, chaotic beasts, and filthy abominations. Yes, these things exist. The reason you don't know about them, is because of the defenders. Defenders like righteous paladins, purist monks, valiant slayers, and orderly banishers.
But these defenders are few, and with the world's growing population, are having a harder time protecting humans from the dark creatures. They've had to improvise to keep the order alive. In fact, most of the defenders are gifted youths in high school. These youths are in groups, and protect their areas, which often encompass an entire city. But still, with so many humans, contact is inevitable.
And thus, with assorted strange events, hybrids were born. Half-ghosts, half-demons, and half-werewolves, just to name a few. Hybrids are a strange bunch, being that they have the choice to be evil or not. Some give in to their horrific nature, some nourish their human nature, and some embrace both sides of themselves.
At this current time, Defenders don't know about the Hybrids. When they first discover there's a horror in them, they'll probably attack. But when they discover there's human in them as well... who knows? Maybe they'll keep hunting, maybe they'll just hunt the wild ones, and maybe, just maybe, they'll look for the Hybrid's help.
Defenders made a promise not to hurt humans, and to slay horrors, but... What if the horrors are half human?
PLOT
There are defenders who stop evil, they come in various forms. But they basically kill horrors. But then something new shows up: Horror-Human Hybrids. Alliterations for the win! Anyways, Hybrids have a choice whether they're evil or not. So defenders won't know what to do, and they'll have to decide. Some will want to kill them, some will want to team up with them, since Hybrids are stronger than most humans, and are more of a match for full horrors. All the defenders know each other, since they work together. Hybrids don't have to know they're hybrids right off the bat, but they're gonna find out. You can also have hybrids know that they're hybrids, though.
SETTING
They're all high school students, paladin or otherwise. They go to this high school, in a town that's almost a city. And yea. There's actually not that many kids in the school, so most at least know of each other.

Classes of Horrors
Undead - Essentially, that which is dead, but still animated and may or may not still have sentience. They are not simply the shambling, undead zombies. They can possibly be the vampire, or even a lich. Most Undead can simply be controlled by dark mages, known as Necromancers. Undead are actually pretty fragile, but they make up for this by still being able to move after mortal injury. In fact, the only ways to kill most undead is light magic or by crushing their head. Undead are also quite strong, because they do not have to worry about the human body's natural function to limit our strength and prevent self injury. Undead can also be incorporeal, an example being the ghost.
Demon - Creatures of darkness. They have many dark and disturbing powers. They often make offers to humans that the humans soon regret. They can possess the weak willed humans, wreaking havok on their lives. Demons do what they do either for fun, or for bloodlust. They can be anything from little imps to giant balrogs. There are blood demons, bone demons, shadow demons, ect... Somethings, like Fallen Angels, are put in this group, simply because they are similar.
Beasts - Not like dogs. Like, Dragons. And Snarbolaxes (Look it up.). Basically, dangerous and powerful animals. There's the Medusa, Minotaur, Werewolf, and Harpies. Basically, anything that's beast like but not a demon.
Abomination - Basically, anything that doesn't fit in the other three. Yeup. I'll let your imagination run wild.

Gender: Male Age: 18 Appearance: What exactly are they?: Paladin, defenders of light. Their specialty is undead, but they also do well against demons. They are moderately good at combat in general, so they can hold their own against beasts and abominations. Paladins can utilize light(as in... stuff that lets you see) attacks and light damage. They are also capable of healing magic, which can be used to hurt demons and undead. Daren himself is an offensive specialist. He is a master of many weapons, like swords and guns. His philosophy is to deal as much damage as possible, and eliminate the opponent quick. He often goes into battle, trying to avoid damage. While he has the ability to summon the armor of the paladin, he chooses not to, so he can add more speed and overall damage. What's his/her Story?: Basically, the defenders picked him up, taught him everything he knows, and now let him finish high school, slaying horrors on the side. When he gets out, he will go for more extensive training. Daren is an A and B student. He's pretty smart, but he doesn't study at all, due to the fact that he's on patrol at night with his fellow defenders. He plays soccer though, and is a great player. He believes in the concept of blitzkrieg, or lightning war. Quick and powerful, hit them where it hurts. Other: He can summon weapons at will.

Gender: Male Age: 17 Appearance: What exactly are they?: Demon Slayer. Although he is employed as a defender, he fights like what he hunts, a demon, using tricks and any other means he can use to beat them. He's highly skilled in both shooting and knifes, being able to fight by using them in both long-range and up close. Morgan can move fast, despite his heavy looking clothing and tends to work better alone. What's his/her Story?: His brother was a defender, and would often teach Morgan skills to defend himself, as he had already seen the Horrors first hand when they killed their parents and knew of their existence. One night, a group of Demon Horrors came after Morgan and his brother, resulting in Morgan losing his left eye and his brother's death. Soon after, he received further training from other Defenders and became employed as a Slayer. Morgan searched for the Horrors that had robbed him of his remaining family, and hunted them down after learning of the saying, "An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth." He soon found and killed them, much to his grim delight.
Morgan has a rather dark driving force, despite being a Defender. He truthfully doesn't care about all this "Playing fair crap." as he puts it, taking pleasure is exterminating the monsters that roam the cities. However, Morgan will do anything to protect a human, to prevent the same things happening to them as what happened to him.
Other: He wears an eyepatch to cover the dark hole that was once his eye. He even wears it while attending school, and tells people off when they ask him about it, saying "It's none of your business. Go away." Despite being a loner and often missing class to escape to the roof, surprisingly he gets quite good grades.

Gender: Female Age: 17 Appearance: School Uniform
Monk Attire What exactly are they?: Xelmata is a Monk, specializing in close combat martial arts. Being an equally trained gymnast, she is balanced in both strength and agility, but she is very flexible and nimble as a compensation for her lack of overwhelming attributes. Despite being a martial artist, Xelmata can and will wield weapons when they suit her needs. She prefers using jian ((Chinese sword)), Balisong ((butterfly knife)) and sniper rifle, especially Barrett XM500. She doesn’t have any active supernatural powers, but her training as a monk gives her resistance to forms of mind control and enhances her chi, the latter allowing her to amplify the power of her punches and kicks. What's his/her Story?: Xelmata herself was never born to a family with Defender lineage and came from a normal family as an only child. Her entrance into the world of Defender came when, during a holiday trip overseas on her fourth birthday, she and her parents were attacked by a pack of Beast Horrors. They killed and devoured her mother and father, but before they could do away with her, a group of nomadic Monks came to her rescue and vanquished the Beast pack. Taking pity to the orphaned girl, the Monks took her in as one of their own and trained her in martial arts. When she was old enough, the Monks sent her back to her hometown ((which is wherever this school is located at)) in the hopes that she could readjust her life back and to assist in defeating the roaming Horrors. Other: She has a quirky habit of drawing on any books that belong to her and any stray papers that she finds. Her notebooks, aside from whatever notes written in them, are filled with ornately drawn pictures and sketches.

Gender: Male Age: 16 Appearance: I cannot draw humans to save my life, so I'll just describe him. He's got green eyes and brown hair. He typically wears a red T-shirt and jeans. His ever-present backpack is black and rather plain. In battle, he wears little to no armor for increased maneuverability. What exactly are they?: Similar to the paladins he so loves to play as in fantasy MMOs. His pistol and first aid kit can usually be found somewhere in the bottom of his backpack. His hammer and light armor (got this off the 'net) are stashed at home- which, conveniently, is almost right next to the school. What's his Story?: Aaron's father is the senior pastor of the local church, and his mother is a teacher. He had a fairly normal childhood. However, at age 8, his father revealed the true family business and began training him. He first learned right from wrong in the most comprehensive sense possible, so that he would not misuse his training. In his free time, Aaron plays all manor of multiplayer games, updates his collection of fantasy creature figures, and doodles. He also practices scattering hordes of bowling pins with his hammer. In battle, he excels at crowd control... Especially if that crowd consists of waist-high imps or goblins. Creatures that breath fire or have other ranged attacks give him problems, though, as he has barely any armor and does not carry a shield (you need both hands for one of those warhammers). Other: The jewels on the hammer's head and the jewel that makes up its pommel are opals, so the color of those areas changes at any given moment depending on the angle that the sunlight hits them from. Anyone walking into his room for the first time would immediately notice the hordes of monster figures on his dresser, and the lone knight facing them. To the average person's eye, these would just look like the product of an odd hobby- but really, it's a trophy collection. Each of those monsters corresponds to one taken down in the field. But more importantly, Aaron is not perfect. He has problems with staying clear-headed; a monster can goad him into attacking recklessly if he's not careful. This same issue has granted him some respect among shool bullies, though many visits to the principle were made in the process.

Gender: Female Age((16-18)): 18 Appearance: What exactly are they?: Lisa is an Angelic Knight. Descended of the Knights Templar but divergent from the original Holy order. The Angelic Knights do not seek guidance nor orders from the Church unlike their Templar brethren. Instead they ally themselves to no master or organisation. They believe in a higher calling and that the presence of Angels guide them in spirit. Angelic Knights take a vow of poverty and see the gains of material possessions as a weakness. However in order to hide amongst the common man they have some leeway but tend to be on the lower end of the poverty line. Since her birth, Lisa has been trained in the combat of swordsmanship. This has developed her upper body strength and her leg muscles. An Angelic Knights weapon of choice is a Broadsword and Lisa is no different. This strength does come at some cost and because of heavy hardened muscles her speed is not great but her proficiency and accuracy is. Angelic Knights although fighters do have some spiritual abilities. They can sometimes sense the supernatural and very rarely have visions. They believe it is the Angels bestowing wisdom upon them in which they must learn to understand.
What's his/her Story?: Lisa was born and raised as an Angelic Knight. It has been her life since she was a child. Her father was a great Angelic Knight. Proven in battle against the dark forces time and again. It was from him she learnt everything it was to be one. Of the devotion and sacrifice one must endure in order to protect and serve the common man. Of the divine power of the fight and of the greater good. She adored him. Sadly he died not from a monster but from cancer and devastated her world. Her mother was not a Knight and could not and did not want to understand the world in which Lisa was trained in. In fact her Mother was against the idea completely. What little relationship they had died with Lisa's father and the two have been distant ever since. Lisa focus's more on her duty as a Defender rather then spend anytime at home. Other: Lisa can come across as distant and a little cold. Her hobbies tend towards quiet reflection. Sitting under a tree and listening to the sounds of nature and possibly the whispers of angels. Reading books is another hobby. When it comes to the Monsters, Lisa is just as cold and determined. Years of hard training have honed her instincts. She is more quick to strike then to ask questions. Her life has been to defend ordinary people. To protect and serve them. And she will do that at all costs.

Gender: Male Age: 17 Appearance: Yes, with the tattoo and everything. He hates wearing shirts, as well. What exactly are they?: Half Black Blood Demon. Basically, his blood is black, and it does stuff. It can harden, becoming harder than steel. It can take any shape, be it weapon or otherwise. A side effect, though, is that it sort of has it's own soul and thought process. So while he can control it, it can very rarely act on it's own. Normal black blood demons have dark grey skin, fangs, demony stuff, while he looks like a perfectly normal, albeit pale, boy. It's just his blood is black. What's his/her Story?: He's a pretty good student, always makes high scores in tests and such, but he never studies, nor does he do homework. He's known since he could understand what a demon was. He has studied under a master, and knows how to fight well. He hardly feels pain, and will take hits head on, unless it is a sharp object. He doesn't want to be discovered. But he does understand his power, and has some practice, although he avoids using it. He doesn't really like to fight. He's actually the quiet kid, who gets bullied somewhat. It doesn't bother him, he just ignores it. He wants to become a doctor, and find out if his blood can be used to cure things. His bloods lets him experiment, but doesn't make it easy for him. Other:

Fire reacts to her. she doesn't control it, though she may have limited control later on, for now it just reacts when she gets mad, any soft of spark or fire gets out of control. her weapons beyond fire would be fangs and claws. What's his/her Story?: She was raised by her very human mother, and has never know her father. bottom line, she has no idea she's anything more than just a regular teenage girl. Her other forms lay dormant, and will probably stay that way until her life is threatened. Anyway, she is a girl of extremes. she can be furious one second, and giggling the next. on a normal day, she's fairly bubbly and obnoxious. she has a habit of making a nuisance of herself, though most people get won over by her ridiculous good natured-ness sooner or later. Her grades are at best, passing, with very little effort put into classes or homework, if any. she really has no idea what she is, though some people swear they've seen a trickle of smoke coming from her when she gets really angry... Gender: Male Age: 17 Appearance: His hair is brown, and his skin is tanned from spending time outdoors. He has jade green eyes. What exactly are they?: Tom is an Fear-caster Abomination Hybrid. The abomination was a master of illusions, sensing people's fears and bringing them to life. He can't sense people's thoughts, only what they are afraid of. He can always sense them. Tom has minor shapeshifting skills. If someone fears spiders, Tom can play on that fear and turn into a giant spider. If someone fears water, he makes an illusion in their mind that they are drowning. Fear Shapeshifting: He can shapeshift into someone's fear, as long as that fear is some kind of an animal, e.g. spiders. Often when he shapeshifts, he exaggerates the animal to bring out the fearsome aspects of it. Tom dislikes shifting as it hurts his bones and often leaves aches and bruises from thrashing around during the transformation. Illusion Casting: Tom can make illusions to make people believe their fears are coming true. These illusions are usually in their mind, but he can also bend light to create illusions targeting a whole group, not just a single person. In single-person cases he just makes them hallucinate. Unless the victim believes in Tom's illusions, they do not work. He needs them to believe the illusion is real. He can't make illusions of anything else, either. If his victim doubts the illusion is real, the illusion will disappear. Tapping: A skill he uses far more often than the other two, Tom can reverse his other abilities and make the fear "go away". However, since fear never really goes away, Tom just transfers the fear from some other person to himself so that he experiences the fear for them and so they go unhindered. Tom can also use this ability to calm people down. Fear is always there, lurking in some corner of the mind. People aren't always aware of it. Tom can smooth away the unconscious fear to make others relaxed, happy, and more lighthearted. What's his/her Story?: Tom is the guy to count on when in trouble, but he's not the guy to hang out with otherwise. That's how most people view him. In school, he often helped (and still does) people out of trouble. He cares for others but remains aloof, because once he gets close to someone he starts using his ability of "taking away" fear. But of course that only gives the fear to Tom, and that's not very good at all.
Tom knew about his ability since he was little, because he could always sense the fear of other people. It was only later when he created an illusion of a bully's fear, that he realized he could create illusions. Still later he found out he could reverse the process of bringing out fear - tapping. Shifting didn't come until around a year ago, during a school shooting. With his life in danger, his powers came into play and he shifted into the shooter's fear. No one witnessed this but the shooter. A month after that, Tom moved to this current town. Other: I don't know what side Tom is on, good or evil. I guess I'll just let that write itself. :/

Gender: Female Age: 16 Appearance: If you're wondering, her hair is naturally red. What exactly are they?: She is a Shapeshifting Abomination Hybrid of sorts. This abomination had no particular form and could become pretty much anything. So, Laurel can shift into quite a few things. However, unlike the abomination, she has a natural form - human. Whatever living thing she's seen, she can become. Laurel never shifts into another human, though, as it is "super creepy!" as she puts it. However, she can become animal or partly animal. For example, she can give herself the eyes of a falcon, without the wings or feathers or anything else of the falcon. This is useful to Laurel as she is blind without her shapeshifting abilities. She must wait at least an hour between shifting forms, so her shifting ability is used sparingly. Except for one thing. Laurel always keep her falcon eyes because as mentioned she is blind without her shifting ability. What's his/her Story?: Laurel was in a loving family. However, at a young age, she fought the scarlet fever. The fever that came after that took her eyesight. Laurel didn't tell anyone. She was frightened and didn't want help. She wished for they eyes of a falcon, and they came - and she could suddenly see. Her family didn't notice the change much, since she'd kept her eyes closed for much of the sickness. Laurel continued to explore her ability. Other: Laurel can't shift into anything bigger than a lion.

Gender: ♀ Age: 17 Appearance: Avery stands at about 5"4, and weighs 105 lbs. She has a rather thin build, which allows her to maneuver easily and quickly. However, because of her thin build, she doesn't have much endurance and is a great disadvantage when she's engaging in close-combat. She has several rune-like red markings across her body, some going down her right arm, left leg, and down her back. She also has a few markings below her left eye. Avery's thick, light blonde hair reaches just below her shoulders, and she usually has it so it covers her left eye. She usually wears grayish-blue contacts, but only to hide her unusually golden eyes. Her usual outfit consist of a plain-colored tanktop with a jacket, and a pair of loosely fitted camo pants. She never takes off the dogs tag or ring around her neck, as they have both her dog tag and her mother's, and the ring belonged to her father. What exactly are they?: Abomination (Shadyn) Shadyns are humanoid creatures that are capable of 'manipulating' the shadows.They are usually tall with darker skin and hair, with either golden or dark purple eyes. Odd rune-like markings cover their skin, usually either red of black in coloration. Perhaps the most abnormal feature of a Shadyn is the long, shadow like tail that has spikes that line the tail bone, making it a deadly weapon. Shadyns don't have a shadow, which forces that to stay out of the sun light, or else they would be easily picked out. Hybrid Shadyns are a tad bit harder to identify. They may still have the odd rune-like markings and off eye-color of their Shadyn parent, but their skin tone and hair color are the same as their human parent's. They physically lack the powerful tail of a Shadyn. While they do have shadows, their shadows appear to have the tail that they physically lack. Shadow Manipulation: Shadyns are able to create objects and puppets to aid them in combat. Their creations are always solid black, but still poses the same functions and threat as the real thing. Puppets can take on the shape of any animal or human. However, only one puppet can be controlled at a time, as it takes great concentration to control the puppet. If the Shadyn that created it loses focus, the puppet will vanish, leaving no traces of it's existence behind. Creating objects and puppets cane take anywhere from ten seconds to several minutes, depending on the size and complexity of the creation. Not only does it take time, but it also takes energy. What's his/her Story?: Avery was born into a family that consisted of a human mother and a Shadyn father. Her mother was in the military, so after Avery turned four, she didn't see her mother very often. Her father had been teaching her to use her abilities the moment she was old enough to learn them. She showed great potential, as she was a quick learner. When Avery was eight, her mother was killed while fighting in another country. She was raised solely by her father, until he was killed by a Defender. Avery became frightened of Defenders, but she didn't hate them. Her father had been a murderous abomination, only caring for himself and his family. She was reason to his death, and simply moved on, raising herself on the streets. Eventually she found herself a rather small apartment that she could easily afford, and began living there. She started school, and showed to be a decent student. The teachers and students don't really notice her, as she is usually quiet and does her homework. She gets decent grades, never below a C. Whenever there is a class outside, she stays in the shadows, fearing that someone will see the abnormal shadow that she casts, and she will be forced to leave her home. Other:

Gender: Male Age((16-18)): 18 Appearance: What exactly are they?: Half human half Abomination aka Cosmic Horror Bael is very skilled in hand to hand combat and survival skills. He knows the pressure points of the human body that will numb them, paralyze them for a time, or completely, and how to knock one out or stop the heart. He is also very skilled in the use of swords. He isn't much of a defender and more of a loner and tends to be on his own. What's his/her Story?: Upon birth his mother rejected him for what he appeared to be. With parts of his body covered in in odd black substance known as ruination. Thrown into a scientific laboratory for experiments as to what he was, what he could do and what his limitations were he lived a life without a life. Years passed by before he was suddenly released without reason, some unknown deity allowing him freedom after years of torture. Placed into a school with other students. Given a place to live with all the necessities he would ever need Bael began a true life. Yet at this time it was that he began to hear a voice in his mind, a voice strange and not his own, it was the voice of the one whom made him as such.
It was a deity, a horror that wasn't a horror but an abomination, a Cosmic Horror known as Bael. This dark creature was known throughout the history of Defenders and Horrors alike, an ancient being whose name struck fear and ungodly chills throughout the minds of all who knew of the existence of horrors. It was this deity which placed a small fraction of its essence into the womb of a woman carrying child, the result being the half human, half Cosmic Horror Bael. Allowing the child to name himself after it, it began to keep an eye on him yet from such a distance so that it did not appear to be there within the community of the humans, hybrids, and Defenders. At this distance it watched its experiment to see how things would go. Other: Bael is a very antisocial being and tends to be void of emotion at all times. He has no friends nor allies and likes to keep it that way. No one ever gets too close. He does not understand fully what he is nor what he is capable of, all he knows is that he isn't human any longer. Bael has a temper that can be hard to puncture, but when it is struck many things die. He trusts no one and detests those who see themselves as superior to others. He has a pseudo like skin that covers the black substance on his body, but it is still visible and those who ask he responds with it being a birth mark.
Ruination is a black oil like substance that devours matter. Magical objects and energies cannot be touched by it. Ruination is highly susceptible to electricity, but he doesn't let anyone know that. Because ruination is partially in him it gives him more strength, speed, and allows him to heal a bit faster than the average human. If he really wanted to he could go without eating or sleeping, but it is a bit uncomfortable to do so.

Gender: Female Age((16-18)): 17 Appearance: Merani is taller than average, at a few inches over six feet, and thin, though not unhealthily so, and her lack of mass is somewhat tempered by the fact that she's quite muscular. Her eyes are an intense, nearly glowing, purple, and her short, spiky, hair is black, both of which contrast sharply with her pale skin. She has a tendency to wear dark clothing, usually jeans and t-shirts, and she's almost never seen without her jacket, which is black leather and has a blue dragon in flight on the back. Otherwise, there's little notable about her, save for a fae cast to her face and bearing, and several tattoos (a swirling column of flames on her left arm, an ash-grey dragon on her back, and an elven girl wearing a red dress, with shoulder-length ice-white hair, and grey eyes, sitting on a stone under the night sky, with a blood-red tear on her cheek, seen as though from a distance, with bushes and a tree in the foreground, centered over her (Merani's) sternum), all expertly done. What exactly are they?: Abomination (Image-crafter) Image-crafters are humanoid, but their eyes, which are usually grey, with black where the whites would be, overly-thin, elongated, limbs, and translucent, semi-skeletal wings, make it clear that despite the superficial resemblance, they most certainly aren't people. (Of course, there are measures that can be taken to hide all of this, which is why they haven't been entirely wiped out yet, though their tendency to pick up numerous tattoos does tend to give them away.)
Hybrid Image-Crafters are somewhat less obvious; they lack the odd eye coloration, save in reflections, and their wings appear to be tattoos on their back, though they're still slightly off in terms of their limbs, and tend to look almost elven because of it. Image-crafting: Image-crafters can make images - videos, photographs, paintings, tattoos, or anything similar - portals to the world depicted, either transporting the mind of anyone looking at them there, or turning them into a true doorway, which allows people to travel there physically. They can also take specific parts of images and bring them into the real world, though they (usually) have only partial control over animals or humans that they do so to. Finally, they're capable of altering images, though that capability is restricted to their own tattoos, if they have any. What's his/her Story?: Merani tends to be cold and sarcastic, though not outright hostile, to everyone but Kessia, and is quite protective of her half-sister, as well as having a tendency to be distrustful, along with a fairly strong sadistic streak. However, if one is willing to put up with her barbs, and manages to prove that she can trust them, she grows somewhat kinder, and considerably more friendly, along with, to some extent, protective, though not as much as she is of Kessia.
If possible, I'd prefer to keep her past hidden until it's revealed onscreen. Other: She's Kessia's half-sister

Other than her tattoos - a gold, red, and purple phoenix on her back, a pair of black roses on the sides of her neck, and a ring of odd symbols on her left wrist, along with a blinded, and apparently tortured, girl with black hair, who's wearing tattered mage's robes, locked in a cage, and guarded by an androgynous brass humanoid with stained glass wings, in the same place Merani has the elf girl tattooed -, there's nothing else about her appearance that's really worth mentioning. Username: NecroBite Name: Nero Fintan Fisher
Gender: Male Age: 17 Appearance: Nero is about 5' 10" and weighs about 170 lbs on a heavy-built frame. Needless to say, he's overweight. Not grossly so, but he has pudge. He hides his muscle under the pudge, if you have to ask. He has thick, curly brown hair that he keeps fairly short, but not too close to his head. Perhaps about 1 1/2 long. He keeps it this long for a reason . . . His horns. Were he not to trim them, they would grow and grow and grow until they stuck out from the sides of his head, making them almost impossible to hide. For the purpose of hiding them, he repetitively trims them every morning to make sure they don't grow out of his hair. He's likely to wear hats on some days (beanies and loose hats mostly) when he isn't able to trim his horns down to size, for whatever reason. Starting at his chin and following his jaw (much like a beard) is brown fur. It's in general very wispy and thin until it hits his chest, where it grows thicker and more closely resembles actual fur. The fur spreads around to his back as well, and continues down his legs and then gets wispy again at his extremities. He actually has a tail which sprouted from his rear, so if he seems uncomfortable, that's because he has to sit on it. He constantly wears gloves, long-sleeve shirts and jeans, no matter the weather. It could be 90 degrees and he'd still be wearing the same clothes. Thankfully, they're usually pretty thin so as to keep him from really overheating . . . Except for the jeans, that is. Jeans are jeans. He has kind features, although a little exaggerated. His eyebrows are thick and brown. However, he does have unusually brightly colored eyes, which are grey in color. In the right lighting (natural light), they appear more blue than grey. What exactly are they?: Hybrid of . . . A minotaur and a human? Half minotaur! As you're likely to know (but I'm going to explain anyways), minotaurs are half-human half-bull hybrids. Some features, like fur and horns, are passed on to the hybrid from the bull half and others, like the general physique of a human, are passed on from the human parent. Minotaurs, like any hybrid, have differing characteristics because of the way that genes are passed on, but in general they will almost always at least carry the horns or some greater feature of the bull. Most aren't as bull-like as the minotaur of Crete. However, they are stronger than the average human, so it may seem like they lift weights, when, in fact, they don't. What's his/her Story?: It's hard to say exactly when Nero noticed his odd characteristics. It might be best to say that he first noticed when he was very young, because he could see that he wasn't like any of the other children. Where some of them had blue eyes or brown (one even had green), his were a silvery color. None of them had hair along their arms or anywhere other than their heads, like he did. But most of all, none of them had horns or a tail. His mother raised him alone in a small apartment downtown. Knowing what his heritage was (she has to know >_>;), she constantly trimmed down his horns for him and made him keep his tail down the back of his pants. No one's really noticed, for the most part, as he would always wear baggy clothes that tended to hang down a bit (at least partially covering the area), which is something he still does to this day. Other than the occasional fight with another kid (he describes it as him losing control), most of his life has been rather nondescript. He and his mother moved a few times from apartment to apartment, but they've never really been able to settle anywhere. His mother has never looked for a boyfriend or husband after she gave birth to him, making the excuse that "I have to care for you now. I don't have time for such things." She's fairly stubborn in her ways, which makes it nearly impossible to argue with her. He discovered his skills, that is to say strength, in gym class. And when I say discover, I use the term relatively loosely. It's hard to discern any greater strength over anyone else's. All he knew was that he was stronger than others. He didn't flaunt it, as you might expect, but rather kept it to himself . . . except when he got in a fight. Other:Nero hates the color red and insists it's an insult if you give him something with red lacing, stitching or something similar. Don't even get him started on red yarn. If he gets angry enough, he might actually stop speaking entirely and let out an animal-like noise rather than words.

Fire reacts to her. she doesn't control it, though she may have limited control later on, for now it just reacts when she gets mad, any soft of spark or fire gets out of control. her weapons beyond fire would be fangs and claws. What's his/her Story?: She was raised by her very human mother, and has never know her father. bottom line, she has no idea she's anything more than just a regular teenage girl. Her other forms lay dormant, and will probably stay that way until her life is threatened. Anyway, she is a girl of extremes. she can be furious one second, and giggling the next. on a normal day, she's fairly bubbly and obnoxious. she has a habit of making a nuisance of herself, though most people get won over by her ridiculous good natured-ness sooner or later. Her grades are at best, passing, with very little effort put into classes or homework, if any. she really has no idea what she is, though some people swear they've seen a trickle of smoke coming from her when she gets really angry... Other:She has a habit of skipping class on sunny days to bask on a large rock on the edge of campus. never let her in a kitchen, unless you want all the food to be blackened beyond being edible. she likes to bug Kurt.
