As Di Lun and Diran traversed the crowds, Diran froze as he saw a strange figure stare at them and then walk into his house. Diran pulled down his hood and growled as he balled his hands into fists, releasing a small secretion of blood magic mist.
Looking at Diran, Di Lun pulled his hood down and put a hand on Diran's shoulder.
"What's the matter? Did you see someone?!" Di Lun asked, looking about.
Diran looked at Di Lun and shook his head.
"It's nothing... I just didn't like the look of one civilian. Keep an eye out... I'm a bit on edge." Diran replied, putting a hand to his ear. With a click of button, he activated his headset and spoke articulately into the mic.
"Diran to Mercenaries... Keep an eye out for any shady-looking civilians. I repeat. Keep an eye out for any shady-civilians. It may sound like paranoia, but we have to be protected at all times. Remember, Shadows aren't the only thing we battle." Diran said sternly, looking at everyone in the crowd.
"If anyone needs me or Di Lun, rendezvous with us at The Merchant District. Over and out."
Di Lun perused the crowds and crossed his arms.
"Aren't you being a bit dramatic? It's just another Shadow raid. It's nothing we haven't gone through before." Di Lun sighed, staring at Diran. Diran shook his head as he turned to Di Lun.
"It's better to be safe than sorry... I apologize. I'm just a little...offset. Something about this mess screams suspicious." Diran apologized, releasing his grip.
"Don't beat yourself up. It's fine. Just keep your guard up. I'll buy you a cinnamon roll if everything goes well." Di Lun smiled, patting Diran's shoulder.
Diran nodded and then smiled.
"Alright. Let's get to it, then!"
Turning his back to walk off, Diran accidentally ran into a young girl and nearly last his balance. As Di Lun helped picked Diran him up, DIran heard the girl apologize. As he turned to her, he noticed her light brown hair and her light blue eyes as well as her colorful outfit. Smiling, he scratched his head and spoke up.
"It's not your fault...I didn't watch where I was going. It's a pleasure to meet you... Please be careful." He said, shaking his head.
((Sure, why not?
