As you walk through the bustling crowds, you hear many people talk about a mysterious group of individuals named "The Purgatory Mercenaries". At first, you shrug it off and continue to walk forward. However, a piercing roar is heard. You look up to see that everyone is fleeing in panic. Looking in front of you, you see a group of hideous black monsters emerge and begin to charge towards you. Paralyzed with fear, you stand there and cower, expecting the worse. However, before you know it, six strange figures erupt seemingly out of the crowd and hunt down the monsters with abilities you have never even seen before. You realize instantly who they are. These are Purgatory Mercenaries, the group everyone is talking about. How do you react? ____________________________________________

THE HISTORY:
In the year 2065, Earth was involved in a astronomical genocide by an ancient race named the Shadows. Earth, along with other planets, were instantly destroyed in a head-on collision. 95% of the population of all planets were instantly killed.
However, due to the large energy spike as result of the collision, two ancient beings were formed. Under the name Dylagus (The Blue God) and Atenrus (The Red Goddess), they divided their powers into three other beings named Dyranus (The Green God, Son of Dylagus), Attenera (The Orange God, Daughter of Atenrus), and Yggra (The Silver Wolf). Together, they brought life back to the Planetary shards floating about (Betsuni) and combined them into a large planet named Pangaea.
Life started to return. As the land had been reconstructed, Dylagus created a large population of humans using the left over shards from the fusion.
However, after a decade, Dylagus noticed that the humans began to kill each other along with innocent animals that Atenrus created. Using his powers and the corpses of the all of the deceased, Dylagus created Animans, or Animals created with Human traits. He also halved the population of the human population in order to help the Animan population strive. As time increased, the Animans have developed to be as large as the human population. Unlike Humans, The Animans were vegetarians and were natural more agile and fit than humans. Due to this, Humans instantly began to despise Animans. They claimed that the Animans were "pompous" and "conceited" and above all, "unbalanced".
War broke out. The Humans fought the Animans for balance. Over hundreds were slaughtered.
In effort to stop the the war, Dylagus created a pseudo-species called Hito to try unite the races. Being technologically impaired was intentional. If they were weak, but strong in numbers, the races would have no choice but to unite and fight together.
This was successful. The Hito were vanquished and the species, without sustaining any causalities, created a treaty and united. Life began to quickly become peaceful. Unlike Earth and the Planets before them, They all became stronger and received healthier bodily traits such as stronger resistance to diseases as a result from Pangaea's unique atmosphere. Their lives also were expanded. But, the most prominent effect from the collision (Known as Hakai) was the ability to control elements. This also was given to the Animans after Dylagus created them. The elements were then embedded into a person's DNA, allowing future generations to learn them. Humans and Animans began to use elements to their liking. There is a variety of elements to choose from. Fire, Ice, Wind, Earth, Electricity, Light, Shadow, Arcane and Blood. Ultima, the tenth element, was founded later as more and more souls experimented. After discovering these effects, a new era of prosperity emerged. All was at peace.
Until... the year of 2357 occurred. The Shadows, the race that had destroyed life in the past, discovered Pangaea and began to attack instantly. The Celestial Family sealed the shadows away...but with a price: Their lives. Before they "died", they transformed their souls into crystals and divided them into shards. They scattered the shards all over the world before the seal had been completed.
Nobody noticed the shards...until the year 3650.
Someone has broken the seal and released the Shadows back into the world. This same person also found the Dylagus shards along with the Atenrus shards. However, a group of six animans named the Hi No Tora, steals the shards and hides.
Those six people are Locke Zagusaki, Tina Sarkozy, Raito Kisaragi, Sophia Sarkozy, Seth Kusanagi and Daiyu Han. After a long, bloody event occurs, the Hi No Tora is victorious and had liberated the shards from the Government's clutches. However, little did they know that one of the Cursed Ones, A being created long ago to destroy the humans and eventually the Shadows, had seen them and learned of their whereabouts. After sailing off to inform it's allies, the Hi No Tora had gave produced six different children, who are chosen to inherit the power of the shards along with other children (who shall help the six characters achieve their goal).
THE SPECIES:
Humans -
The most common race for life on Pangaea. The are naturally stronger than Animans but, have a lower rate of learning their elements unlike Animans. Humans are also aren't as swift or intelligent as Animans. However, due to their amazing strength, some humans are known to survive for a two hundred years, while Animans only live up to 175. There is about 7% more humans there there is Animans.
Animans-
(An armored Animan) Basically, Animans are Anthropomorphic Animals created by Dylagus to punish the Humans for their insidious actions. They soon branched out and became their own race. They are swifter and tend to me more intelligent than humans. However, they are also a target of racism and have less stregth than that of a human. They are also known to be able to learn their Natural Elements faster.
Hybrids-
A cross between Humans and Animans. While rare in occurence (as the DNA between the two species single each other out), they are known to have both the speed and intelligence of an Animan and the strength of a human. Unfortunately, due to their conflicting DNA, their lives are extended to 150 years. Also, they are more prone to diseases. When finding their element, they have an special type of element called an Hybrid Element. Taking both elements from their parents, their are able to morph it into one. An example would be Ice with Electrcity coursing through it. This would be called Hybrid Ice. Hyrbid Elements are also orange in appearance.
SHADOWS:
They are an ancient race who, as legend tells it, despises all forms of life besides they're own. It is believed that they are the very reasons why Pangaea was created. Their existence on Earth has fueled a popular doomsday belief: Ragnarok. They spontaneously attack at any given moment if a life form is detected. As they reproduce by the millions, it is almost impossible to destroy all of them. They revere one leader, who is said to be as strong as the Celestia Family themselves. Its name is Legion.
THE OBJECTIVE: You have been chosen by the Purgatory Mercenaries to assist them with the genocide of The Shadows, an ancient race that threatens to destroy all life on Pangaea. With the character (or characters) you create, you must help the Purgatory Mercenaries by assisting them in battle, pinpointing where Shadows are, or just by gathering info. The main base for the Purgatory Mercenaries is in Yggdrasil, where most of the information is given to them by the Government. You can follow them in dangerous missions or you may band your own faction and try to destroy the Shadows on your own. With your weapons and Elements, you are a valuable asset to the army. However, with various dramatic turns and events, you realize that your goal might change either for the worse or for the better. Trust and Patience will be tested. Do you trust the Purgatory Mercenaries or do you oppose them?
OR
You've always been hateful towards the P.Mercenaries and wish for nothing but their downfall. In this instance, you will assist the Shadows in obtaining their goal: The conquering of Pangaea. At all costs, no matter what happens, you will continue to fight against the side of good until you die or change your mind.
SETTING: Pangaea is planet that is roughly 20 times larger than Jupiter. It holds over TRILLIONS of citizens. High tech monorails, trains, boats and basically any other mode of transportation imaginable can take you anywhere in minutes. There are cities in every possible location: In the Oceans, In Mountains, Inside the Planet, In the sky, etc. While there is too many cities to list, You are allowed to create your own tiny village. The world is literally endless. The most important landmarks are the Ruins Of Zanzibar, The Valley and Skywing. The capital of the World is a city called Yggdrasil and it is the largest city in the world. It houses the Pangaean Government. The High Lord of Pangaea, or the President, remains here. The Economy is always boosting. The main city that lies dormant in the sky is Platina. With a radiant glow, it appears appears as a star in the night sky. Lastly, The city Prometheus lies on top of the highest mountain in the world, Mount Zarathustra and Aquatera lies within the deepest parts of the oceans. All of these cities are regarded the "center" of all the terrestrial plains. Railroads and and Travel Paths extend all the way into space, where other cities lay. Pangaea has several moons.
The world is almost an utopia. The law enforcement is suburb and poverty is always solved. These is no concern of extinct species as Everything is made synthetically. Items such as meat and wool are perfectly made. In fact, you couldn't tell the difference other than that one was man-made.
However, the Ragnarok War is threatening to tear the World apart. Everything you know and love about Pangaea will be destroyed.... You must prevent that from happening. Or die trying.
AFFILIATION: You can either be a dear friend to one of the Mercenaries or you could be a veteran/rookie member of the mission. You were selected by them for your abilities. You look up to them as heroes. They will protect you with their life. You may have some unsurfaced feelings for one of them or you may despise them. Whatever the case is, you are comrades in arms and you must protect each other until the dying end. You will fight along side them in a long and painful war.
If you are evil, you could say that your affiliation to the main characters could be Mortal Enemies, a Rebellious Purgatory Mercenary, A citizen that always despised them from the start (but they don't know you yet) or You could be one of the Shadows that's being threatened to be annihilated.
STARTING POINT: You may either start out in Yggdrasil, where the Purgatory Mercenaries are at, one of the major cities listed in SETTING or you may start out at Village or Location that you have created. You can either be already apart of the Purgatory Mercenaries or just simply looking to join them. If you are in Yggdrasil, which is full of crowds, sunlight, kiosks and stores, you can quell the incoming Shadow raid by yourself or by the Mercenaries side. If you are apart of the Mercenaries, you can be any rank besides Leader. You will be treated with the utmost respect and you'll be expected to do the same. If you are not in the Mercenaries, you can request to join via application or by proving your worth. These are only examples. How you start your character is you decision.
THE ELEMENTS:
BASIC ("FUNDAMENTAL") ELEMENTS
Fire - Users of Fire are resistant to heat and are sometimes rash. They can control torrents of Fire. They are weak against Ice. Cooperates greatly with Wind.
Ice- Users of Ice are resistant to cold and can be calculating. They can control oceans of Ice. They are weak against Electricity. Cooperates greatly with Earth.
Electricity- Users of Electricity often have greater wisdom. They can control waves of electricity. They are weak against Earth. Cooperates greatly with Light.
Earth- Users of Earth often are stronger than the average person and can withstand more strikes. They can control the formation of the Earth. They are weak against Fire. Cooperates greatly with Water.
Wind- Users of Wind often are faster and more agile than the average person. They can control the direction of Wind. They are weak against Light. Cooperates greatly with Fire.
Light- Users of Light often have a greater resistance to diseases and severe wounds more so than any other person. They can control light to heal others and to blind or harm enemies. They are weak against Fire. Cooperates greatly with Electricity. Samazamas cannot use this element.
Shadow- Users of Shadow often live longer and are incredibly stealthy. They control their shadows to create shapes and doppelgangers. They are weak against Light. They don't cooperate with any element. Samazamas cannot use this element.
NON-FUNDAMENTAL ELEMENTS
Blood- With only a small percentage of Users, they are able to control their blood to create shapes and mimics the other elements. Blood Magic Users are also known to be able to regenerate and suck the life out of their foes and use their blood to attack/heal. However, with a man-made disease called Daraku Syndrome, anytime Regeneration is used, the user under goes excruciating pain. Blood Magic seems to only work with people who have the AB Blood Type. Anyone else with a different Blood Type who have tried to use Blood Magic have been known to be consumed alive by their bloodstream. Due to this, Blood Magic was labeled as Taboo and Unstable. However, Blood Magic can be used with any element and is weak against nothing. Samazamas cannot use this element.
Arcane- Users of Arcane don't receive any special traits, however, they also hold one of the most strongest elements. Arcane is just raw magic without any special traits. No special requirements are needed. However, a lot of training is required to master this element. If mastered, it can be strong enough to cut through any substance. Samazamas cannot use this element.
Ultima- There is but one last element left. However, NO ONE can master or use this element by themselves. It is regarded to be the strongest element in the world and if used correctly, it can leave DEVASTATING effects. It is not a natural element. With that being said, it can only be achieved by fusing two or more elements together in perfect harmony. You must have special connection to the partner or else it won't work. This element is known as Ultima. The more partners, the stronger it becomes. However, even if the slightest error occurs, both users could be instantly killed. A single drop of Ultima has enough power to create a crater the size of a building. It's a high-risk Element, however, it is the most rewarding as it is weak against nothing and overpowers everything. Samazamas AND Kakezans cannot use this element.
Any of these elements, except Ultima can be granted to an individual as Natural Elements. Natural Elements are an element that a citizen can use upon being born. The Element isn't chosen randomly. Depending on your bloodline, you could control Fire like your father or Ice like your mother. While people usually only have one natural Element, some can have multiple. These people are known as Kakezans and Samazamas.
Kakezans are people who have two natural elements. They can master two elements, but they weren't be as powerful as someone who mastered that element by itself.
Samazama- are people that can master all of the Fundamental Elements (Except Shadow and Light). However they aren't as powerful as mastering an element by itself.
Hybrids - Taking the same name as the users species, these Elements are a fusion between to elements at the same time. While it is commonly regarded as Kakezan, this is the more "accurate term".
Anyone can learn an element that's not their Natural Element, but they cannot master it, making it no where as powerful a mastered one.
ELEMENTAL SUB-TYPES
Other than the regular elements, there has been events were the Elements are altered in such a way that they have completely different elemental properties such as color or attributes. The list of known subtypes are below:
Hybrid - Only seen in Hybrids. These types of elements are actually two different types of elements stitched together. It is orange in appearance.
Sacred - A fabled subtype that is hypothesized only to be seen in action by The Celestial Family and those of their bloodline. They look almost identical to the Regular Elements, but are slightly lighter in color. As a result, the weaknesses are dispelled.
Corrupted - A elemental sub-type used only by those foolish and selfish enough to sacrifice lives for power. It is a sign of pure hatred and evil. It is green in appearance. In return for power, the weaknesses have doubled in effect, causing the user to be even more susceptible.
Original (Pure) - A Elemental Sub-type that is scene only by those who are involved with a thick family tree using that said element. It is blue in appearance and its weaknesses is repressed.
THE CHARACTERS WHO ARE IMPORTANT TO THE STORY: ((NOTE: I Play as The President, The Hi No Tora and the six main characters plus my own character. That's about 14 characters. Yikes. However, I won't be controlling the Shadows...those are the enemies we get to destroy. Because they produce like crazy, feel free to slaughter as many as you want. )) ((All of these characters are apart of the Purgatory Mercenaries.))
HI NO TORA:
Locke and Sophia, both being Mouse Animans, have 4 kids: Nicolas Zagusaki, (2nd oldest) Rose Zagusaki, (3rd oldest) Emily Zagusaki (4th Oldest) and finally Diran Zagusaki (1st oldest). The Dylagus Shard was implanted into Diran, for Locke and Tina knew Diran was going to be successful. Unfortunately, Nicolas, Emily and Rose are deprived from them due to issues concerning the well-fair of the family. The Cousins of Locke deprived them of Nicolas, Emily and Rose, leaving Diran behind. Locke, Tina and Diran had to live in run-down city called Zanzibar. However, Zanzibar is destroyed by Shadows and Locke and Tina are missing in action. Diran is the first main character or the Ragnarok series.
Raito and Sophia have two kids, Agnei and Di Lun Kisaragi. Agnei is a mouse Animan like her mother. and Di Lun is a cat Animan, like his Father. The Atenrus Shard was put into Agnei and the Dyranus shard was put into Di Lun. However, Di Lun and Agnei are separated from each other at the age of 6 and don't find each other until the age of 18. Both of these characters are one of the six main characters.
Seth and Daiyu have 4 children as well. Moses, Will (both are the same age: 25), Aerrol (3rd oldest) (also the only Cat in the family besides the mother. The rest are porcupines like Seth.) and Dillan. The Dylagus shard was put into Dillan. Dillan was a hero of a city called Skywing, but was destroyed by Shadows. Dillan blamed himself for failing to protect it. Dillan is the fourth main character.
The other Atenrus shards were given to two different families, both of which had assisted the Hi No Tora in retrieving the shards.
One family, Ken and Aika Kimura, put the shard into the their daughter, Sakura Kimura who later meets Dillan Kusanagi and becomes his childhood friend. She is a Porcupine Animan like her Father. Her mother was a Wolf Animan. She's the fifth main character.
The other family, Misha and Daisuke Sanada put the shard into their daughter, Kaguya. She is Cat Animan like her parents, but had retained her mother's traits. However, her parents went missing after an attack by a group of rogue guards. She has meet Diran in Zanzibar and was his girlfriend but had to move before her parents disappearance. She later meets Di Lun Kisaragi and becomes increasingly close to him. She is the sixth main character.
Diran Zagusaki
is a Mouse Animan with Grey fur and red hair. At irth, he was born with heterochromia. One eye was green and the other was blue. He resembles his Father the most. He wears a tattered long sleeve blue shirt and black exercise pants along with a long head band given to him by Kaguya Sanada. He is a Kakezan, as he is able to control both Arcane and Blood Magic, which is what makes him renowned. After the destruction of Zanzibar, he was found by two mice named Theus (A Italian mouse with short grey hair and yellow eyes) and Octavius (An elderly male mouse with White hair), both of of which attended Topford Academy, one of the most prestigious Animan academies in Pangaea. He is then put under foster care under their rule after learning about Diran's tragic event. After a year of being taken care of, he is has suffered from many gruesome injuries. One of them resulted in him losing his tail and part of his left ear. When Theus had to leave due to her graduation, he had became emotionless and stoic, never letting his emotions getting the best of him anymore. Octavius, being the supervisor, kept a vigil eye on him.
After a few years of residing in Topford, he meets a clique of female Mice (Nicole (a Australian mouse with Red hair and green eyes) Charlotte (a French mouse with blonde hair and blue eyes) Paula (A Peruvian mouse with long black hair and orange eyes), Camille (A Chinese mouse with long black hair and purple eyes), Sheva (a African mouse with frizzy brown hair and red eyes), May Lee and Chloe Valentine (Identical Twins. May Lee has Black hair with a white streak and Chloe has White hair with a Black Streak. Both have brown eyes) and Agnei Kisaragi.
From there, his life changed for the better. After reuniting with Theus, who had returned to Topford to teach a journalism class, he along with Theus and the other mice travel across the world to meet new friends. However, during the way, they are attacked by Shadows. After almost dying, Diran awakens the essence of Dylagus. Unfortunately, Chernobog, one of the Cursed Ones, had possessed him, giving him monstrous powers. Agnei snaps him out of his possessed form. However, she had already been awakened to her Atenrus power before. After awakening to his powers as well as seeing all of his friends awaken to theirs, they set out into the world to find lost family members. He wields the cursed blade, Murakumo, which holds the demon Chernobog at bay. After he fights with Di Lun, he is reunited with Kaguya. Instantly, Di Lun begins to trust Diran a little more. Soon, they develop a Brother-like relationship.
Agnei Kisaragi
A Mouse Animan with grey fur and long chest nut brown hair. She has light blue eyes and often times wears a beautiful pink dress. At the age of 6, she and her brother, Di Lun Kisaragi were seperated from each other and their parents after a surprise Shadow raid torn threw their home. She uses only one element, Wind. This makes her extremely proficient in Wind and agility. After being found by her parents a week later, she is saddened after finding out he has never returned. She still believes that he still lives. After years of growing up, she finally attends Topford Academy, where she comes into contact with Diran Zagusaki. After snapping him out of his awakened form, she soon finds herself being gifted the power of Nidhogg. Retaining the form of a large ring with spikes, she fights to protect those who are close to her. After setting out to explore Pangaea, she encounters her brother as well as his allies. However, Di Lun gets into a battle with Diran, believing that he is one of the Cursed Ones. Agnei interrupts the fight and scolds both Diran and Di Lun. Wanting to make her happy, Di Lun followed Agnei's directions and joins their cause with Diran, despite his strong distrust in him.
Di Lun Kisaragi
A Cat Animan with Red hair and blue eyes. He has grey fur and wears a brown short sleeved shirt and black exercise pants. He controls the element of Ice, which makes him extremely proficient in Ice and Cold resistance. At a young age, he was separated from Agnei and his family. After a week of isolation, he was found by one of The Government scientists. From there on, Di Lun was a subject for an experiment called The Kira Project, which was project by the government created to allow Citizens who don't have AB Blood to control Blood Magic proficiently. During testing, Di Lun under goes horrifying pain. One day, Di Lun was able to break out his prison. Upon doing so, he liberated the rest of subjects and escaped. On the run, he fainted in a near by forest. As he woke up the next morning, a monk by the name of Master Rei had been taking care of him. Being a human, he had no qualms about helping an Animan. For two years, Rei raised Di Lun to become an excellent warrior until one sorrowful day.
The Government had found Rei and executed him on sight, right in front of Di Lun. Overcome by greed and hatred, his Kira powers get the best of him and forces him to brutally slaughter each everyone. After an hour of brutal slaughter, Di Lun sat in the blood of the fallen and cried over the life of his master. However, out of the cold silence, a large figure moved towards Di Lun without fear. Going by the name of Kuma, the figure, who had been a Panda, took Di Lun and trained him along with other orphans with harsh exercises. In return, the received food, a place to stay and friendship.He had lived in an abuse-free zone from then on. He became friends with a young female Fox Animan named Kitsuna, a young male Rabbiut Animan named Usagi and an adolescent male Skunk Animan named Jin. Later, they met a mysterious young female cat Animan named Kaguya. She instantly becomes friendly to the others and is given fans by Kitsuna. She uses these to fight.
After a shadow raid destroyed their homeland, the find themselves lost and separated from their fellow citizens as well as their master, Kuma. As they attempt to walk away, a group of rogue Government soldiers attack them. Enraged, Di Lun awakens to his Dylagus potential and is granted the blade, Ohabari. Instantly, he destroyed the soldiers and escorted the group out of the scene. After a moment's rest, they refuse to believe that they are dead. As a result, Di Lun and his group wander Pangaea in search for their master as well Di Lun's sister, Agnei.
Kaguya Sanada:
She is a cat Animan with brown fur and Long golden blonde hair. She has bright Green eyes and is extremely shy. She is a Kakezan who can control Shadow and Fire.
Living in Zanzibar with Diran, she experienced extreme poverty. Noticing how Diran was the center of harassment, she wanted nothing to do with him. She feared her reputation was at risk. However, after she unintentionally smashes Diran's feelings and reduces him to tears, she quickly tracks him down and apologizes to him, revealing the truth. Diran then reveals that he has had a long time crush on her and that he was afraid of hurting her. Taken back this, she becomes friends with him. As time went on, Kaguya's reputation increased negatively. One day, tension exploded as Kaguya was even called a "whore" by one of er closest friends. Diran is then involved and almost beaten by a group of teenagers. Enraged, Kaguya runs to his aids and gets into a fist fight with the group. She ends up being victorious, but she injured in the process. Kaguya is then suspended from school, but she isn't punished. Diran became even closer to her and even becomes her boyfriend. For a year, Diran became increasingly closer to her.
However, one day, Kaguya's parents get a job in a different city, causing her to move. At first, both Diran and Kaguya is torn up. They don't want to leave each other. However, after a week of fruitless effort, she understands and accepts her fate. As the day became closer, she has a dream Zanzibar will be destroyed and everyone will die. After this, she pleads again not to go. However, at this point, even Diran tells her just to accept. He promises her that he won't die. Taking his word, Kaguya accepts and begins to head out. As she watched Diran and his parents disappear, she falls asleep. Waking up hours later, her transportation is attacked. As she sees her parents get transported away from her by the Shadows, Kaguya finds herself in the rain, alone. After she walks aimlessly until she meets Kuma. Noticing her injuries, Kuma houses her and accepts her into the Valley, the location where Di Lun and Kitsuna lives. After meeting them, Kaguya quickly befriends them. Soon afterwards, Kaguya is informed the Zanzibar had been destroyed and no survivors were found alive (Except for Diran and his parents). Instantly, she is saddened and thrown into depression. Di Lun and the others, after The Valley had been destroyed, escort her to the ruins of Zanzibar. There, she is overcome with raw emotions and soon awakens to Konohana Sakuya.
Later, she finds Diran after he had a scuffle with Di Lun and is overcome by emotion. However, by the time Kaguya arrives, Diran is already close to Ageni, creating a small amount of jealousy between Kaguya and Agnei. However, the soon become best of friends.
Dillan Kusanagi:
A porcupine Animan with brown hair and red eyes. He has chestnut brown color and wears a black T-shirt and regular jeans. Unlike the rest of the characters, he is a Samazama, meaning he can control multiple elements.
Born in a family of wealth, Dillan has always been aware of the latest fads and fashions. As he grew up, he trained with Moses and Will, who are both Porcupines, along with his brother Aerrol, the only cat Animan in the family other than their mother. Living in the city of Skywing, Dillan meets with another porcupine Animan named Sakura. Instantly, Sakura and Dillan become best of friends. Dillan's parents have always been friends with Sakura's parents, as they were former Hi No Tora members.
As he trained with his family, Dillan begins to use his powers to halt criminal activities. After ending a bandit raid, he is renowned and is even listed as a hero. Using this new found fame, Dillan become a super hero practically. He saved Skywing from destruction many times.
However...in one day, all of that ended. After a massive wave of shadow's marched into the city, the government believed that the entire city was corrupted. As Dillan saw countless lives being slaughtered by the soldiers, Dillan jumped into action and attempted to flush out the soldiers. However, after almost dying, Sakura and his brothers came in and rescued him. As Dillan watched SKywing burn into the ground, Dillan became overcome by sorrow and regret. However, after his parents counseled him, Dillan soon began to regain faith. Continuing his crime busting routine, he and his family (along with Sakura's Family) wander Pangaea in search of any crimes.
He mets Diran and Di Lun after he saves Kaguya's life from a bandit. As they united, the former Hi No Tora members unite, fully forming the group known as the Purgatory Mercenaries. In search of Locke and the three other missing Hi No Tora members (Diran's Mother and Kaguya's Parents), the soon realize that the Government plays a bigger part in the war than they realize...
Sakura Kimura:
She is a porcupine animan with grey fur and emerald green hair. SHe has vibrant pink eyes and wears a casual black school-girl outfit. She controls the element of light, which makes her the medical expert of the group.
Growing with Dillan, she always had a crush on him. She couldn't really get it across, but she gives small hints and pokes at him. She always encourages him to do his best and to never give up. After Skywing was destroyed, she is one of the main reasons why Dillan regained his faith. Traveling with her family, Dillan and his family, the search the world for hope. After meeting with Diran, Agnei, Kaguya, Di Lun and the Kisaragi family, they form the Purgatory Mercenaries. This group is devoted to end the terror of the shadows and hopefully end the war. After encountering their first shadow enemy, Sakura awakens to Izanami, a scythe that controls the fabric of light.
This marks the beginning of the Ragnarok war, as the six shards have been united while the shards of Yggra, Attenera and Dyranus shards are hidden away in the depths in the war...
THE PRESIDENT: (PLAYED BY ME)
Vayne Nazareth. He controls the Pangaean Global Army as well as the Guards who patrol the streets for any crimes. The are assigned to terminate any Shadows that may exist. He is also in charge of many Government projects such as the KIRA project. Everyone is required to follow his rules and bend to his whim. The Purgatory Mercenaries follow objectives given by him.
THE RULES: 1. Basic MagiSteam Roleplaying rules apply.
2. NO GODMODDING. If your characters have to be strong, please add limitations or side effects. No wiping out entire villages with a snap of a snap of your fingers, please.
3. Minimum of three sentences. I know that it may be difficult to come up with content but at least TRY to keep the conversation going. I'm not expecting you to write a whole chapter book.
4. Romance will be tolerated but try not to get into detail. Nothing erotic or kinky, please.
5.Violence is encouraged, but please try to keep it within reason. This isn't Mortal Kombat or Saw, so no ripping out spines or skulls. If you must sever something off, have it be an arm or leg. Keep the blood within reason too.
6. Cussing is allowed. Just try to censor vowels like this: F*ck, or Sh*t. Those will be the only words you will HAVE to censor. You can censor any other words you deem offensive. EDIT: Don't swear to much. I don't want to see "F*** those f***ing stupid a** f***ers.". C'mon, people!
8. If you must reserve a character, please don't wait three weeks to get back. Two weeks will the time limit. Also, if you do create a character, post within two weeks or so. Don't post once, then post a year later. Two Weeks. Any longer than that, and you're out. However, if you tell me in advance that you will be absent for longer than two weeks, you will exempt from this rule.

Q0- Are the Animans animal-size, as in Tiger-animan tiger sized, or do they shift between both, like a shape shifter OR do they have animal features, like a tiger tail and stripes, but a human body? A0-Animans are basically anthropomorphic animals, meaning that they have the characteristics of a Human (thumbs, height, body structure, etc.), but still retain their animal appearance. An example would be a Khajiit or an Argonian from Skyrim. Or Tails from SEGA.

ZELKOVA BACKSTORY:
Well I'll start off with this; I'm 20 years old and currently working as a chef traveling the world. Right now I'm taking a holiday. AS for my family there's not much to say. My parents live in a small town, when I say small I mean not even worth mentioning. They retired there a couple years back. My dad was a construction worker and my mom was nanny. They where out of the house for long periods, so I had to learn to feed myself. That's where my love of cooking stemmed from.I believe that there is a balance to everything, in cooking and in life, and the Shadows are disturbing that balance. I even got a tattoo, to have a physical image of my resolve to return balance to Pangaea.
As for my elements I learned to be very careful with them. One day I was preparing to take a shower, when I touched the doorknob to close the bathroom door when I shocked myself. Only I was not even on a rug, heck I was as naked as the day I was born. It got worse, when I got in my shower and turned on the water I felt like there where a thousand needles in my skin. I couldn’t move! I fell paralyzed, and naked onto the floor. WORST two hours of my life.
After that It wasn't so bad. It had been a couple days since the shower incident and I was late for work. I didn’t have a car, I took the bus. I started running hopping I wouldn't miss the bus. I wasn't watching where I was running and I almost run into a little kid trekking towards the bus too. I vault over the kid and keep running I look back, and WHAM[b] tripped when my foot dips into a crack in the ground. I feel the earth suddenly lurch up to greet me, and then nothing.
When I come to, on my back, bus missed and it was raining, I feel my head to feel for the bruise or worse and all I can feel what feels like a crystal blob on my my scalp. I never really cared to train my element, I just wanted to be normal, so I didn't really know that I could use blood magic as well as Electricity, until then.
One day when I was fifteen as I am walking to the bus, I hear a roar from around the street corner and suddenly a group of pedestrians stampede towards the bus, and me, and chasing after them are a five shadows, they were horrible! How could something that appears to have no substance rip the very flesh from your bones with one swipe, or carry you off, screaming to your doom. the mob of frantic pedestrians enveloped me, tossed me out and under the bus, and just as suddenly was gone.
I regained my senses and tried to stop the bleeding coming from my palm, suddenly all I could hear were the agonized screams of the slowest of the mob. I cowered as far as I could get while still being under the bus, I knew it would not deter even the weakest of shadows but my brain was far from being reasonable at that point. Suddenly I hear running but not away from the shadows, but towards them I tried to call out to them to hide, before I could they disappeared and all I could hear again are the sounds of battle and death.
The sounds of fighting drew closer and I could see movement: feet and claws. They jumped and flew as if in some magic ballet. I almost laughed, I was hysterical at that point, and seeing feet, and claws without any bodies jumping around as if in some magical ballet, almost sent me over the edge. Two of the feet stopped and faced a pair of claws right in front of my hiding spot, neither giving an inch.
Suddenly I saw a pair of claws moving behind the feet directly in front of me. I could not call out, my vocal cords wouldn't work, I must have been too far gone, because, concentrating I form small needles in my palm with my blood, and begin to gather all the electricity I can, without hesitation I just grab on to the clawed feet, piercing the tangible shadow flesh and hold on for dear life. Everything went dark after a few minutes of struggling to hold on while shutting my eyes closed waiting for the inevitable feel of claws sinking into my flesh.
When I came to, I'm sitting against the bus, one of the pair of feet I recognize is attached to a brown furred mouse, finishing off a shadow, laying on the ground. I notice that the pair of feet that were in front of me before I passed out are connected to a cat with brown fur, and she was coming closer! I panicked I couldn't help it, they just killed shadows and I was already near my breaking point. She stops me and thanks me for distracting that shadow enough for her to move away and keep fighting, she explained who they were, what they did and that I could join them someday if I trained and when I became stronger to join them.
I was trained in Tessen-Jutsu: Fan fighting, until I felt confident that I could hold my own against a shadow, turned out that took a couple years, and once I decided to pursue a place in the Purgatory Mercenaries I had two special electricity conducing chains for my fans made, that would I send electricity all the way up the chain and into the steel bars of the fans. I have a white fan with no blades, just steel bars for non lethal combat, and a black fan with steel blades with the tips filed razor sharp, for when I'm feeling not so nice.

Appearance: History: Elijah does not trust a lot of people, but since he meet one of his close friends from the group of six, he started to trust more people and strengthen himself with the people around him. He likes to hide a lot, since he was a boy, his family left him behind and left him to suffer in the cold outdoor world. Ever since, Elijah tries his best to learn more and improve himself and show to himself and his family he will never back down from anything and he can do anything. Appearance: History: Anastasia is very warming and open heart to anyone she meets, she loves using her powers for good and loves making people happy. She is the sister of Elijah BlackWood who is her opposite and they are totally different but always close with each other. Her and her brother were both left behind by there parents and left out to freeze and starve, but they teamed up and became powerful, and protecting themselves and learning on there own. She talks more and will actually make jokes when she is around friends. Amethyst will go out of her way to treat someone nicely rather they deserve it or not and she can't really hold grudges unless you just do something really unforgivable. Stubborn also describes her and she will give her life for any of her friends. She likes to smile almost all the time, but you will rarely hear her laugh. Appearance: Amethyst stands about 5'4" and weighs about 130 pounds. She has shoulder length, straight light brown hair that she keeps tied back into a ponytail. She also keeps a pen behind her left ear. Her eyes are a light blue, but when mad tend to darken. She likes wears a tight, black long sleeved shirt under a light orange tank top, jeans and grey sneakers. Rarely is she seen with out her army green backpack, swords and a book or notebook in hand. History: Amethyst grew up in Prometheus, mainly on the streets. Her family was attacked and killed by shadows when she was about 12. Somehow, she managed to fight them off long enough to survive. Fearing what would happen if they placed her in an orphanage, she ran away and made her home on the streets for the next seven years. All that remains from her old life are her father short swords she uses to fight with, the rest of her belongings she either stole or picked up from lost and founds. When she was 19, she left the Prometheus and started to explore Pangaea looking for any shadows to destroy trying to prevent what happened to her family from happening to others. Hearing about the mercenaries, she decided to head to Yggdrasil to see if she could join their ranks. Relationships: She meets Vald as she traveled around and she considers him as the brother she never had. Weapon Of choice: Two short swords Other Info: If she uses her powers for long periods of time (like over 24 hours), the more likely she would be withdrawn when she stops. He doesn't care if you are friend or stranger as he will talk to either way. He is also insanely curious and often pokes his nose where it shouldn't be. He doesn't blend into the back ground well and nor does he really want too either. He can hold grudges for a while, but he easily forgives if you catch him in the right mood. Appearance: Vald stands about 6'1" and weighs about 145 pounds. He shows some muscled, but not a lot and he is more board then skinny. His hair is curly, black and goes just past chin. His eyes are bright purple and he likes to hide them behind sunglasses. He has fangs and a tail that is about 10 inches long. Unfortunately, he did not inherit his mother's wings so he cannot fly, but he does have her ears and they pop up out of his hair. He likes to wear a green t-shirt, a black leather jacket, jeans and sneakers. History: He grew up on the outskirts of a small village with his parents. They taught him how to fight and when he turned 16, he asked if he could travel the Pangaea. They agreed and that is what he has been doing ever since, fighting shadows where ever they appear. 5. Silvereye - Amanda and Benjamin O'Neil
Username: Silvereye Character Name: Amanda "Carnage" O'Neil Race: Human Elements: Samazama, she specializes in Earth and Wind. Any Elemental Sub-Types?: Original/Pure Age: 22 Personality: Unlike her twin Benjamin, Amanda is extremely aggressive, but intelligent enough to know when to stop herself. She resembles a fiery temper best, with a temper that explodes like dynamite, with a very short fuse. However, if you're her friend, she'd most likely die for you, and she would rather keep you safe from harm or at least fight by your side then risk letting you die alone. Appearance: Amanda is actually what some would call beautiful, just as her brother is considered handsome. Like him she has jet black hair and shockingly green eyes. However, her hair is down to her waist and always tied back. She stands about 6'3", and almost all of her body weight, a full 150 pounds, is muscle. Her skin is tanned from hours in the sun, and her hips and bust are shaped pretty well for her height. History: Amanda and Benjamin were very small when their father and mother were killed by Shadows in the same attack that separated Agnei from her family. Amanda and Benjamin clung to the other child, and they became good friends. When the twin's grandparents arrived to take them, Amanda and Benjamin tried hard to keep in contact with Agnei. He is rather amiable, and is seldom cruel. The only time he seems to be like his twin, in fact, is in the heat of battle, when they set the others abilities off so well that they work in near perfect harmony. Of the two, he is the one more likely to comfort his friends successfully, and he would never let someone hurt his friends, or others in general. It's the only time outside of battle that he seems to get aggressive. Appearance: Like his twin Amanda, Benjamin is about 6'3" and has shocking green eyes and jet black hair. But he is built more heavily then her, weighing about 170 pounds. He is also almost pure muscle. His hair is short and black, and like his twin he is graceful when he needs to be. Benjamin has more compassion in his face then his twin, and usually wears clothing that doesn't betray his real power. 6. TazzyGal - Sphinx
Character’s Name: Sphinx Race: Hybrid Elements: Fire/Wing Hybrid Element Age: 19 years old Personality: Sphinx has a very calm and serious personality, and she has always been this way. She doesn’t like to beat around the bush and always uses straight answers, and she never lies unless she need to. She isn’t rude or mean towards anyone, she finds behaving like that very immature and idiotic. The only time she is ever aggressive towards anyone is when they are her enemy, but even then she shows them quite a bit of respect. Sphinx is a very clever girl and definitely knows how to get people to talk, or to get them to stay quiet. She also has a twisted sense of humor, causing her to be seen in some eyes as psychotic or devilish. Though she isn’t, strange jokes just seem to float her boat. The only thing she knows is that they aren’t alive anymore, but she doesn’t know exactly why. She has lived with her Aunt ever since she was 6 months old, and has viewed her Aunt as a mother-like figure. Sphinx’s Aunt had always been on the side of the Shadows unlike Sphinx’s parents, and had brought Sphinx up under the notion that she should adore the Shadows and such. Once Sphinx reached the age of 16 her Aunt passed away of old age, and Sphinx took her over Aunt’s small forest cabin. She lives there now, but she doesn’t enjoy being inside. She much rather be outside hunting or exploring in the surrounding forest, or fishing and swimming at the nearby lake. Relationships: Sphinx doesn’t have any strong relationships with anyone, be them friends or family. Though she does fancy Jaado, but only she knows that. Weapon Of choice: Sphinx always carries a bow and several poison arrows with her, they are her favorite weapon. Other Info: Sphinx is extremely fast, and is very well known for her speed. She is also amazing at archery and uses that trait to her advantage, whether it’s hunting, fishing or fighting. Affiliation: Sphinx is on the side of the Shadows, making her an Enemy.

Username: Nom Character Name: Kieru Neko Race: Hybrid Elements: Hybrid Ice/Arcane Any Elemental Sub-Types?: Negative. Age: 17 Personality: Kieru takes after both the ice element, and his cat-like appearance. He tends to plot plans and situations out in his head before acting, which takes all of a half a second. His thought processes are off the charts and he can process an entire situation that would take a normal person a few minutes, in a mere three seconds. This comes in handy when in the middle of a fight. Although he likes to keep to himself mostly, if he can find someone that he likes, he clings to them and follows them everywhere. If anyone threatens to lay a hand on them, he will take action. He has a very… sarcastic… dark sense of humor. Most people don't really understand it, and he rarely smiles or laughs to confirm if he's joking about something, leaving a lot of people to wonder. The only time you're likely to see him smile is when he is on a rampage. Appearance: History: Hating to disclose his history, not much is known. Due to his sometimes… violent behavior, it can be assumed that some sort of personally cataclysmic event happened to him during his lifespan, and he never talks about his parents, so it might have something to do with them. Relationships: None Weapon Of Choice: Ice knives infused with arcane. The arcane can cause some… interesting results. They can be thrown well, too! Other Info: If you start him on a violence spree, he will not stop. He can be a monster. Affiliation: Freelance; does whatever he feels necessary to complete the task at hand. Reason why you joined: I've been off Magistream for a while and I've been scouting threads (sort of) and yours was the best I found. Everything else is the recycled crap that more or less used to be up a few years ago when I first joined.

She's witty and calculating but very reserved and held in, mainly because of her upbringing. She's doesn't trust others, and is very blunt and honest so she gets a lot of grief about hurting others without trying. It hurts her that people don't really take to her, but she hides her loneliness because she sees it as a weakness. Appearance:
Blair wears ripped jeans, black boots, an icy blue tank and faded dog tags. On her wrist is a bracelet of beads (in picture above) that she keeps dear to her heart - and needs to keep herself in check. Her black hair varies from being up and down. She's also usually pretty roughed up from her constant fighting History: Blair doesn't really like to talk about her past. She can't remember much - repressed memories - but what she does remember she hides. Especially her mother, who stays alive in Blair through her beads. Her dog tags - which have her father's faded name on them - she keeps to remember who he was. She met Kaguya a few years back and they're close. Relationships?: Kaguya is one, if not the only one, of her friends. Allea is also someone she's close to. She hates Blue, who tolerates her. Weapon Of Choice: Her fists.

He's pretty lax, happy casually sitting around and messing with technology. He's funny and loves to laugh, and doesn't take things to seriously. He's not easily angered, but when he gets mad - watch out, because his fury cannot be matched. The one thing that contradicts his usual attitude is that he does take his work with his element seriously. He's a lot like a doctor, mentally, and can quickly think of solutions. Appearance:
His outfit is in the picture, including dark canvas shoes and dark jeans. History: Blue grew up with a whole lot of siblings and, as the youngest, was taken care of by all of the older ones. So, he mainly just goofed off with his brothers and played pranks on his parents and sisters. He played sports with his brothers and their neighborhood friends a lot, and so is in pretty good shape for being such a couch potato. Relationships?: Blue doesn't really trust the six, but works with them for Allea's sake. Allea is one of his very old friends and they are close - purely platonic, however - and he knows how naive she is, so he does not trust her with the six. Weapon Of Choice: His dagger.

She's sweet and nurturing, and she cares deeply about all living things. She's breezy and spontaneous, yet she can be serious if she has to. She can be kind of...dim, and it takes her a bit to catch on, but she does mean the best. When she's working, she takes on a personality change and gains complete focus. This is usually only when she's healing, or when she needs to fight seriously against her opponent. Appearance:
Allea wears a long, white skirt that stops just above her shoes and floats. She wears sandals with a small tan wedge and white trimming, and also wears a light yellow spaghetti-strap tank. On her wrists are many different sized bands of various browns, whites, and yellows. She is also fairly thin, a bit curvy but leans towards underweight. History: Allea grew up with her mother, and her sister. She lived as a hippie, if you will, in a cabin next to a lake for a long time. A little ways away from there house was a neighborhood, in which Blue lived, and they became good friends. Not much is to say, as she lived a happy and peaceful life. Relationships?: Best friends with Blue, good friends with Blair. Weapon Of Choice: A scythe.
I love the plot of the RP and the dynamics of the characters, and I think the backstory is extremely inviting

(An armored Animan) Basically, Animans are Anthropomorphic Animals created by Dylagus to punish the Humans for their insidious actions. They soon branched out and became their own race. They are swifter and tend to me more intelligent than humans. However, they are also a target of racism and have less stregth than that of a human. They are also known to be able to learn their Natural Elements faster.
A cross between Humans and Animans. While rare in occurence (as the DNA between the two species single each other out), they are known to have both the speed and intelligence of an Animan and the strength of a human. Unfortunately, due to their conflicting DNA, their lives are extended to 150 years. Also, they are more prone to diseases. When finding their element, they have an special type of element called an Hybrid Element. Taking both elements from their parents, their are able to morph it into one. An example would be Ice with Electrcity coursing through it. This would be called Hybrid Ice. Hyrbid Elements are also orange in appearance.
