I spot the deer long before it will find me, and-in power form-dash as fast as i can to a tree about 50 yards from it. the creature cocks its ears at the spot i was a moment ago. But continues to munch on grass. I pull back on my bow, bringing the notched arrow to my cheek and take a deep breat. As i let the air out of my lungs slowly, i release the string and hear the thump of my arrow finding its mark. A small squeal escapes the buck's mouth, and it falls to the ground, dead. I know that the last dying sound it made scared off all the prey in a mile radious, lucky for me this is plenty of food on its own. I carefully remove the arrow, and bend down with knife in hand to begin cleaning my kill. Behind me, i hear a twig snap, but i act as though i didnt. Hoping that whatever it is, or whoever, will go away. Or i suppose i could terrify them. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it, i suppose.

layfon horse had stepped on a branch and reared back from the sound and bolted off to the left out into the clearing layfon got down in a racers postion in the saddle because thats what the sadle was the horses black mane was flying through the wind along with layfons blonde hair layfon was smiling the whole time

After the branch breaking theres a sort of pause, then, suddnely i hear horse. Layfon? He seems to enjoy making horses to ride. With the pausibility of him near by, i put the deer carcus in a burlap sac i carry looped in my belt loop, and tie it closed with a length of rope that has a hope around my waist. Then i hide it beneath the unearthed roots of an ancient tree, and sprint after the sounds of the quick animal. My tail streams out behind me, and my ears press against my head from the gale force of this speed. I quickly begin to see the black horse ahead, and soon i'm right next to it. Laughing, and changing pace to stay running at its side. I was right, Layfon is on the back, arodynamically huddled in the saddle.

layfon looked down from the racing saddle and race position he was in and smiled at her his horse jumped a log and kept going layfon had no rains so he used the horses mane

aurora got up from her bed and walked to the entrance of the cave midnight lay ontop of it with her tail hanging in the dorrway aurora walks to the tree next to the cave and climbs it and lays ontop of the cave with midnight unsee able by anyone with out a sky view

I find myself actually laughing as we race side by side. My own magnificent speed far exceeding his horse's, but i keep pace with them, instead of leaving them in my dust. We jump logs, dodge trees, climb hills, and splash through streams, i only stop when i notice the horse's frothy mouth. I slow quickly, realizing that the animal would probably become overworked soon.

Tom stumbles blindly through the trees, holding a hand over his side painfully. As he limps around, lost, Shadow wanders a ways off, seeking refuge. From his left comes a loud thud, similar to that of a horse, or deer. Running. Tom reaches for his rifle that is slung over his shoulder, tired, but hoping for a bit of food. If its a deer, that is. If its a horse...well, he might shoot a wild horse, out here. Things could become difficult if he passes up a chance for fresh meat. At the sound, Shadow returned to his side, silent as a ghost. "Go." Tom whispers, and the wolf slinks forward, begining their ritually practiced hunting patturn.

As i come to a jaring halt, waiting for Layfon to join me, i feel somthing...off. Its almost as if there is a danger, like a bear. Or mountain lion. I can sense that there is a thing of threat near...i dont know how i feel this, but...i do. This odd sensation is what makes me turn to Layfon, on his still-panting horse, and say "Get a new horse, we get back asap." Then i turn on my heels, trusting him to follow, and run at horse-speed for the cave/home.
