Cu' didn't like this, not at all, mouth twitching in a slight frown she uncurled her arms and brought up clawed hands. In intricate sweeps she eyed the shield the girl constructed. Yes strong, but shoddily made, it was patchy, full of power and bubble like but much like any soap bubble it could be popped with just enough force. Instead Cu' quirked a brow at her and breathed another spell to life. Obviously this girl was looking to start a fight and though Cu' really, really didn't want to she had to admit it might end up being one.

"I am the shield for every head"

Carefully weaving and turning the spell formed a sheen in front of her invisible to the untrained eye, waiving her hands she slowly added layer after layer weaving both physical and mental defenses into the shielding. In-between she added a rebuke, should one break it would shatter and send out slivers in a confusing cascade.

She faltered ever so slightly her eyes widening but not in shock, this alarmed her. A child with a creature of this like? Narrowing on the girl she began to rapid fire her defense and magics. This was her woods, she would not let her home become a target of hate and violence while she was here.

"I am a boar, ruthless and red"

The area around her shields crackled with intensity, Cu' shifted her feet into a more defensive posture, ready to defend herself and her wood. She grimaced showing off ragged teeth, easily capable of tearing and biting. Her companion though worried her the most. The area caught fire. . .fire!

"Idiot creature! do you not care for those whom live here or their lives? setting a forest aflame?!"

Raising her hands towards the trees and sweep fast about her she quickly fired off another spell.

"I am a flood across a plain!"

Water pulled from the air condensed and dumped itself across the branches, she seemed much more worried about the tree's then dealing with intruders though she continued to growl and complain.

"This would've been easily solved if you would just listen and stop trying to deal violently with your problems like a tiny child! Is this why you've hidden here in my wood? causing problems for others? destroying things? stealing? get out of my wood! take your companion with you! I will not have you here! you bring nothing but violence and hate! get out! I'd rather take a favor from that rabbit then a terrible, violent and abusive child like you! Whatever your companion is you should listen to them and go! Perhaps they can teach you better manners if not common sense! setting a forest aflame the nerve!"

Turning away from the girl Cu' obviously was much too busy to deal with the fire then her right now. She hoped she get the picture and leave otherwise for sure this time she'd find a very angry, very violent ghoul on her hands.

(Same honestly. I feel like I should be doing something but idk. Should we just continue our side of this? XD)

Thistle nodded enthusiastically. He walked a little ways away to where he wasn’t near any bushes and began to clear an area for a fire pit. He stopped and quickly turned around to sign, “I will set up the area. Will you two get the firewood?” He didn’t pause long enough to read their lips, simply leaving them to do as he asked, and returned to clearing a sizable circle of grass and leaves.

(I mean...SURE, WHY NOT THROW THE DOG WHOM TENDS TO GET ANNOYED INTO MORE ISSUES! :D FUUUUUN TIMES! huehuehuehuehue!!)

Dusk motioned Fenrir to follow, the two slipping into the woods. It didn't take long for Fenrir to notice something was off. "Dusk, I smell fire." Fenrir growled lowly. Dusk glanced at him in alarm, "Can..you track it to the source? It may perhaps just be a bonfire, but it's best to know, as it may get out of control fast." Fenrir nodded, sniffing the air and padding confidently forward towards the fire, it didn't take him long to hear the shouting. "Voices, half-breed." He growled, the 'insult' being not even that, his pace quickened, knowing exactly what Dusk would do, rush ahead..and that she did. Almost faster than even he was. "I'm almost certain this is not- Holy Mother of..of.." Dusk started to say a line Fenrir had said around her before, but lost the ending specifically because of the fire and the being yelling. "Holy Mother of Thor..." Fenrir was even shocked by the sheer size of the fire, not so much the one yelling. He had taken notice and placed himself between Dusk and the Ghoul (Cu')."What...happened here...?" Fenrir asked Dusk, it had been a long time sense he'd seen a fire this big. "I..Don't know Finny. Never hurts to ask." Dusk looked directly at the Ghoul (again, Cu') "Hey, uh, what in..in.." Dusk paused momentarily, "Odin's." Fenrir offered up at Dusks' pause in words, Nodding to Fenrir appreciatively she continued. "In Odin's name is going on here?!" She was practically yelling herself, just to be heard. Fenrir, unsure just exactly if she'd been heard gave a loud howl, hoping to gather attention to the two, and maybe even alert Thistle's companion.

(There we go, you have a even bigger opening to join in now CreepyKittyn. I get the feeling this can only end one of a handful of ways though...)

(Lol Nyght. Personally, I feel like my rping was shiet lol. Just typing down whatever nonsense that comes into my head lmao
Also, prepare yourselves for a text waterfall :'D)

"Sheesh, calm down," Lazurite says, rolling her eyes at the ghoul. The lives of those who live here? My bond-partner should always be my priority. And why should I care so much anyway, when everyone attempts to kill my bond-partner over something that she has no say in? "Go!" She shouts to Illusion again. "My violet flames can't be put out with normal water, so I'll catch up with you later."

"……" Illusion continues to stand there, still clenching her teeth.

Lazurite narrows her eyes. "Don't forget what you promised!"

"……" Illusion blinks, starting to come to her senses as she takes in the scene. The spell that she had been readying in her fingers quickly disappears. She overhears the ghoul's words and snorts. "Yet you decided to force a 'favour' over a mere rabbit. Talking like you didn't do anything to cause this." However, with Cu's own yelling, Illusion doubts her voice would be heard. Illusion suddenly freezes at Cu's next words.

Lazurite looks up at Illusion and freezes as well as she notices the shocked look in her bond-partner's eyes.

Illusion just stands there, gazing at the flames as Cu's words played over and over in her head.

"Causing problems for others?"
"Destroying things?"
"You bring nothing but violence and hate!"

Even with her power increase, Illusion feels like she's going to collapse. …She's right… I've only been causing problems for others… My family was ripped apart, not because of him, but because of me… I'm just… I'm just a… In the fox spirit's eyes, the violet flames has turned red: the red flames of torches as men hurry through a dark forest, shouting at the top of their lungs. 'Kill her! Kill the monster!'

Lazurite couldn't believe her ears. She glares at Cu'. "What did you say?!" If the stranger had not just traumatized her bond-partner, she probably would have laughed at the fact that Cu' said Illusion could learn some manners and common sense from her right after she had started a forest fire! What's her problem?! Why is she harassing her?? I'm the one who set the fire, not her!! There is nothing more that Lazurite wants right now than to tear into the ghoul's flesh, but now is not the time for this. The fire needs to be put out, and quick, before it becomes irremediable. Lazurite pushes Illusion out of the way of the growing flames. "Snap out of it!" She quickly darts through the flames and spits another ball of purple fire at a tree which leaves are burning. As the new flames touch the old flames, they both were extinguished, having cancelled each other out. Fighting fire with fire, as they would say. Lazurite wastes no time and leaps over to the next tree, quickly shooting another ball of fire and moving on to the next tree.

Illusion, having been knocked over by the beast, sits on the forest floor, watching the world burning around her. She has seen Lazurite setting other things on fire before, so this wasn't entirely new to her. But in her current mental state, everything seems to be much worse than they actually are. Why was I born? Why was…I born? She opens her mouth and cries out in anguish with her real voice. Her pained, bloodcurdling voice pierces through the air, louder than the roaring flames themselves.

Lazurite sprints between the trees, putting three of them out at once. She looks up at the rain. She has barely met Cu' for even three minutes and she already has great dislike towards the ghoul. However, she cannot deny that she is impressed with the rain spell. "Ignorance at its best!" She growls to Cu' while putting out another tree. "If this really is your wood as you say it is, then you clearly haven't been doing a good job at watching over it!" She shouts, having to increase the volume of her own voice to make sure she can be heard. "You don't know anything! You don't know the horrifying things that have been happening here, neither do you have any idea what we have been doing to prevent it and help those who pass through he--!" She is interrupted by her bond-partner's scream. She whirls around to look over at her bond-partner, but doesn't notice anything different.

Why was…I…born…? What purpose does my birth have in life…? Illusion questions herself over and over. Suddenly, a voice from a memory that seems so distant now reaches her.

"If Little Lazurite ever gets naughty and causes a problem with her violet flames, you'll need to use this spell. Watch closely."

Tears forming at the edge of her eyes at that memory, Illusion shakily pushes herself onto her feet. She wipes at her eyes with the back of her hand, hiding her emotions away again. She sprints forward and leaps up, her foot stepping onto a falling water droplet and she pushes herself off of that single drop to increase her momentum. In an instant, she is standing next to Lazurite. "You're too slow," she says to her bond-creature, her voice emotionless. With a quick motion of her hands, she charges a spell before sending it towards the burning leaves and holds it there.

"……" Without a word, Lazurite hurries to put out most of the rest of the remaining flames.

Illusion stops after a moment. That should be good enough, she decides, her hair not flowing as wildly as it was before. She looks at the leaves above Cu'. With that amount of flames left, she'll be able to extinguish them easily with that spell of hers, even though it might not be necessary. Without the initiator around, Lazurite's flames will die off on their own after a few moments as long as the fire isn't too great. The remaining bit of flames will also be a good distraction for us. She notices the presence of Dusk and Fenrir, but ignores them. She looks over to Lazurite. "Let's head back. We no longer have any business here. I don't want to stay here around these people, not for even a moment longer."

Lazurite is still helping Cu' with the flames, only because she wants this to end quicker. "You head back first. Once the fire is completely out, there will be plenty of time for me to get revenge for you."

"Revenge for what."

"Didn't you hear what this witch said about you?!" She glares again at Cu'. "No way can I take this lying down!"

"…If one doesn't know the situation, their opinions shouldn't matter. Let's go. You being here will only make the fire grow." Not only that, but the reason the fire started in the first place was so that they could get away. Continuing to stay here would make Lazurite's effort go to waste.

"I don't care!! I'm not just going to let people get away with insulting you!"

"So you defy me now?"

"…It's not like tha-"

"If you wish to stay, then stay," Illusion says, cutting Lazurite off. "But if you do, you will no longer be my bond-partner." Having said what she needed to say, Illusion turns and darts off with slight levitation. In an instant, she is nowhere to be seen. The singed leaves she had kicked up drift quietly back onto the grass.

"……" With no other choice, Lazurite gives up on exacting revenge regardless of how unwilling she is. She growls in frustration, still glaring at the ghoul. "You better hope we never meet again or lord have mercy on the 'innocent lives' in the world." She turns around. "And if this truly is your wood, I suggest paying better attention to what actually goes on in here, and I don't mean just this part of it." With that said, she hurries after Illusion, leaving the others behind to deal with the remaining flames.

(I almost teared up typing this :'D And geez, that's a long post lol. Soz, I couldn't stop xD This is what happens when I have a bunch of emotions and ideas going through my head xP I'll try to keep my next few posts shorter if possible. I feel like it's a bit early for things to escalate by too much, so I decided to get my characters out of the scene. At the same time, I wanted to make sure there's still fire left for a little longer so that hopefully CreepyKittyn's characters can have more interesting interactions with the other characters. Do nicely let me know if I'm going a bit overboard with my posts. Though I love role-playing, I haven't role-played for years and I've never been all that great at it ^^' )

"what happened? I don't have time to explain."

Calm but still simmering Cu' continued to fling her hands at the fire about her, it snuffed out beneath her touch water circling with dirt about the wood. With each fire it extinguished Cu' turned to find yet more to snuff. She'd pay attention to whomever was talking after she'd tended to the fire. Focus intent she took a deep breath and let it out letting what little anger that tightened her chest loose. It would be bad if she held onto it, after all being a predator did have its cons.

She heard a growl with the voice or at least thought she did perhaps the fire crackled or a tree branch groaned. Her hearing was very sharp after all, good for hearing prey good for hunting. But what drew her attention was yet again the idiotic child and her idiotic beast. Mouth curling up to show a jagged snarl she leaned towards the creature as her hands continued to weave in a strange trance-like pattern.

"if you weren't raised under a rock you'd understand exactly why I cannot 'take care' of that problem, destroying things willy-nilly like a dumb animal that you are doesn't solve anything. Violence begets more violence, and as your partner seems so keen to throw her life away for a rabbit I'd go reassess some life decisions. There are rules in this world and obviously neither of you care to understand them, you are a danger to everything and everyone around you. Until you take the time to think over this situation it would be best to avoid the woods. For I will know, and I do not often forgive anything. Seek me out if you find the time to apologize. You owe me big time."

Turning away as the creature and its 'master' left the scene they so rudely caused Cu' continued to be sure all the fires where out while grumbling under her breath. The child obviously had some magical talent, probably what kept her alive. But she had no idea what rules ran this world, no idea what a favor was, nor obviously cared to even try and understand anything. It was like talking to an ignorant rock! she dusted her shoulders and with a deep breath raised her hands and began to weave yet another spell much large then the rest. This would take care of the rest of the fire.

I am a wonder among flowers, who but I restores that which is lost?

Her voice cracked, this spell would hurt, if the newer voices where still near by she may have to rest here, she'd have no choice. Boy, she hoped they enjoyed company, and or at least didn't take great insult to her little angry outburst. It had been years since she'd lost her footing like that, not even the elves whom where just as ignorant didn't ruffle her so badly. Perhaps it was due to the breaking of the rule of three? the fire? probably the whole mess in general. She gritted her teeth stomach rumbling again. Today just wasnt a good day.

((I would like to note what Cu' means here. Cu' lives in much the 'old world' way of things. The 'rule of three' is a fae law and its something often required of her. For payment for goods and services, for any help provided by her to others and simple tasks asked of her and especially applies to things stolen, damaged, or even threatened and I do mean the 'littlest things'. Her world has always revolved around the gaining and trading of 'favors' its away to avoid violence and is more diplomatic/political in nature. Its what her world revolves around. If this is a problem please do tell me.))

Illusion slows down to a walk, knowing that Lazurite would catch up soon, and soon enough, her bond-partner is walking right next to her.

"Sorry…" Lazurite says quietly. "It was in the heat of the moment, so I guess I got carried away."

"…It's fine. Just work on controlling your flames better. You learn quickly, so I'm sure you'll get the hang of it soon." Illusion replies, still using that same emotionless voice, her hair now lying calmly against her.

Besides the bell and the grass they walk on, the world fell silent as they said nothing to each other.

"So what happened back there?" Lazurite asks again since she didn't get her answer earlier.

Illusion hesitates before explaining. "…I saw a rabbit caught in a trap. …I released it. I guess I was too distracted that I didn't notice there was someone behind me."

…Yeah that sounds like something you would do, Lazurite thinks to herself. "Well she shouldn't be leaving traps like that around a forest that so many people use as a way to get around anyway." She can't really think of what to say to appease the fox spirit. "Still, it's best not to touch other people's things. You'd have no idea how petty they could be if they catch you in the act."

"…That rabbit looked familiar," Illusion answers simply. She doesn't want to admit that part of the reason was because of how the rabbit reminded her of how trapped she feels, day in and day out.

Silence again.

"I noticed that she said something to you. What did she say?"

"Pfft. Just some more crazy talk. It's not worth mentioning." Lazurite replies, not wanting to stress her bond-partner out further after what had just happened. We are a danger to everything and everyone around us? Tch. Sure, we must've been sooo dangerous to those people who would have gotten killed if it had not been for us. She should go tell that to those humans who tried to kill my bond-partner when she had done nothing to them! Crazy ol' lady spewing nonsense outta her mouth… She angrily claws at the grass beneath her paws. If she wants an apology, she'll have to give hers, first. Not like I'll accept it though. However, she is more than slightly concerned with what the ghoul said about knowing if they've left the woods or not. Lazurite looks up at Illusion, knowing how she hates having to relocate, especially since this is the only other forest that's closest to that city. Lazurite decides not to worry her bond-partner about it for now. Since she doesn't know about all the deaths and murders happening around here, she was most likely just bluffing about being able to detect where we are. And if she does try anything, I'll make sure these woods go down with us! Though thinking that, Lazurite can't help but feel uneasy.

(Well, many people with different upbringing have their own values and their own rules that they live by, no matter how much time has passed. I myself don't have a problem with the character. It's a new experience for me since I don't think I've ever met a character like Cu'. If my posts seem aggressive, that's because I tend to put myself in my characters' shoes. It's just easier that way for me to come up with new ideas and better posts, but sometimes I get a bit too immersed. With the way my characters are, I'd imagine I'd be pretty upset if I were in their situation. So, your character is fine with me. I've never actually had any of my characters get into a conflict like that before, so it's a very interesting experience for me =)
If that's being addressed to Nyght though instead of me, then don't mind me  )

Thistle was running. He was scared, terrified, but he also felt that he had to help. The trees were hurting. The forest was afraid. Thistle stumbled through a patch of brambles but kept going. Cerulean loped along next to him, clearing bushes in powerful leaps. The pair swerved around trees, Thistle following his gut instinct and Cerulean following the burning smell and voices. They finally skidded to a stop in front of Dusk, Fenrir and some other lady they’d never seen before. The trees still smoldered and smoked, but the blaze seemed to be out. Thistle’s chest heaved as he scanned the damage. The trees were blackened, embers and ash fell like snow from the now leafless branches above. The sight made his heart ache. ’Those poor plants.’ He thought. Thistle took a step forward into the damaged area and lifted his pipes. He began to play a song of healing and growth, an upbeat tune to help the foliage recover and help them grow faster. Little green shoots began to slowly pop out of the ground, buds emerged on the branches above, vines snaked and climbed decimated bushes where new leaves unfurled, delicate and bright. Thistlewood’s mood lifted as the area slowly revived around him, feeling the forest almost sigh in relief, like putting aloe on a burn.

(Dryads are tree spirits from Greek mythology. The whole “grow things with music” deal I took from the Satyrs. I hope it’s ok, since everyone seems to have some sort of magic power anyway :))

(Personally, the Rule of Three fits fine by me. I dunno of others though, but i wont stop ya as it's also very new to me and sounds exciting. As for Dryads and Satyrs, their both very close to nature, it stands to pass it's possible that they can both heal/grow plants with music.)

Dusk wasn't sure what she'd heard nor what she was going to do. She stood there, dumbly. Fenrir, taking it upon himself to act which is possibly not the brightest thing, spoke out "Is that how you speak to everyone? No wonder the giant lizard threw a hissy-fit." Dusk looked at Fenrir and went to cuff his ear with her hand but paused, He...has a point. I may not know them very well, but I don't believe they'd do something like this without cause.. Dusk quietly muttered to Fenrir after this thought, "Bud, don't tick the creature off.." She knew it'd fall upon deaf ears though. With a growl Fenrir continued, "What would you know of said 'Dumb Animals' anyways. You seem like you'd classify under that too. How about some-" Dusk finally cut him off, "Enough. You're making the situation worse than it may be." Dusk knelt down to her bond-partner, [i]"Don't. Make. Things. Worse. Please." she hisssed quietly. Not really wanting to deal with a fight right now while she could plan things out, and have Thistle in danger too.

(Also, some of the best roleplayers are those whom can truly feel what their character feels. A OC can be a part of yourself you just don't realize is there.)
