I know this is really late, but I wonder what creatures are labeled, "rare"?

If you don't understand what I mean, I'm talking about how on the stream creatures, there's a label... It's either "very common", "common", and "uncommon". It came out like, a month or two ago. I never really had the time to ask it, but here I am. I saw that one of the new crabs (the green one) was labeled "rare"... So that really sparked my curiosity... I don't have the time to go through the entire Bestiary searching for the creatures, hopefully someone else managed to... Thank you so much and I'm sorry for all this trouble!

I don't know if anyone else has, so I took the liberty of making a list of each stream creature and its classification. You can sort by rarity by sorting column D by A→Z or vice versa (although you may have to make a copy of the spreadsheet in order to do so). It's also color coded. I realize the colors chosen are not ideal for some varieties of colorblindness, so suggestions for other color ranges are welcome XD

To answer your question specifically, these are the "rare" stream critters according to the Bestiary :
  • Sand Gryphon
    Gold Gryphon
    Ash Gryphon
    Onyx Gryphon
    Pegasus
    Dark Pegasus
    Tropical Leviathan
    Forest Leviathan
    Trench Leviathan
    Black Winged Cat
    White Winged Cat
    Kelp Hippocampus
    Coral Hippocampus
    Trench Hippocampus
    Etainian Alphyn
    Savannah Alphyn
    Axolotl
    Yatagarasu Raven
    Laetolis Beast
    Virescent Zeratus

Oh, thank you so much! Wow, there are quite a lot that's rare... And are the Gryphons seriously rare? I tthought they were more on the "common" side... Same with the Pegasuses... Oh well, that's still really cool! Thank you for helping... I'm sorry if I wasted your time. :t-sweat:

Gryphons don't seem rare to me either, but I also don't spend much time watching the stream anymore :t-shrug: And no worries! It was a fun little project that will no doubt be useful in the future.

It's possible gryphons don't seem rare because they share the same egg. So we see a gryphon egg in the stream four times more often than any particular gryphon is available.

If you have one, clicking an egg gives you 5 gold instead of 1. It seems as though hatchlings and adults give you 1 gold, still, though.

Yes, 1 gold.
