FAQ: The Frequently Asked Questions thread (Updated Nov 2023)
Re: FAQ: The Frequently Asked Questions thread (Update Sept)
I'm sure this is a very dumb question, but I'm curious -- what is "babysitting" for eggs, and these links I see for fast-hatching? I just can't seem to figure out what exactly it is.

Babysitting eggs, where people would take the codes (usually embed multiple, clicking on eggs or hatchlings you want them to help) that you provided for them to help gain more clicks to hatch or to grow up.mazakai wrote:I'm sure this is a very dumb question, but I'm curious -- what is "babysitting" for eggs, and these links I see for fast-hatching? Fast-hatching is typically the person would use twitter, facebook, or other means to hatch or grow your eggs at a fast pace. These are normally hatched in 24 hours, with some can grow in 24 hours.

Since I am still pretty new - will there be a gifting event around Halloween? Plus, I can't remember - could one gift adults or just unfrozen eggs and hatchies?

If I can remember right, gifting is more likely possible at Christmas and the anniversary of the site (Magiversary in May). But Halloween...? I can't remember that has happened but I may be wrong. Nevertheless, you can only gift unfrozen eggs and hatchlings when the event is going on. (Anything else needs to be sent through trades as usual.)

We sometimes have Halloween gifting yeah. And it's only live eggs/hatchlings. Anything else would hav to be sent via trade.

Lycanthropes are allies, right? They cannot be traded? Since I've saw in some wishlists people wishing they had the other kind of Lycantrope they don't have but it's impossible to trade them, right?

Yup, they're non tradeable. Idk why people are putting them on wishlists aside from not knowing that they can't be traded.PeterCamenzind wrote:Lycanthropes are allies, right? They cannot be traded? When naming a family, are spaces considered characters? Can I name a family Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da or it has more characters than possible?

Spaces are considered characters, and the limit is 20 characters, so the name in question would be one character too long.PeterCamenzind wrote:When naming a family, are spaces considered characters? Can I name a family Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da or it has more characters than possible?

Re: FAQ: The Frequently Asked Questions thread (Update Sept)
I have a question. If it's been answered somewhere, please let me know where...
But I forget if different creatures hatch/grow at different rates.
Like I have some of the scorpions (parabuthid??) and they're taking Forever to hatch/grow. The percentage after a click seems to be hardly moving at all. (even when I Did have them on the IFMN) And I wondered if there's some reason for that (like there's a thing that makes them grow slowly compared to other creatures) or if it's a glitch...?
