Difference between Waynal and Mercado?

Post by Sanax »

This has always confused me a bit, but what is the difference between selling things in the Waynal forum and the Mercado forum?

On the forum page, it says Waynal is for LTS threads and Mercado is for players to set up a shop. But I've seen lots of people have what they call 'shops' in Waynal. What is considered a player-run shop vs a LTS thread? You're looking to sell things in both types of threads, so that's where it gets a little grey for me. ^^;

I want to eventually start a thread where I can continually update it and sell things. I've seen a lot of threads like that in Waynal (some as old as 2016, wow!) and I've also seen some like that in Mercado. So I'm a little confused as to which sub forum I should be using. ^^;

Sorry for the possibly stupid question. And thanks for any input. c:

From the Merchant's District rules:
Waynal

The Waynal is for quicksales and LTS ("looking to sell") threads

A quicksale is a thread selling one or more creatures on stock. A quicksale may not have its stock updated regularly; that would be a shop and needs to go into the Shop subsection.
Mercado

A "shop" is defined as one of the following types of threads, or a thread that combines multiple of these features:
- sales threads that update their stock regularly
- threads that lend out creatures for breeding
- streamcatching services
There have been some threads that were unintentionally ignoring these definitions, so they were moved to the appropriate section.

Oh my goodness, I guess if I had looked a little harder I'd have found that information! :headdesk: Thank you for clarifying it for me regardless. I appreciate it! :wave:
