To tell the right time on the site

Post by babycuddles »

I need some help.. I cant seem to know the right time here on the sight.. Is that what is said on the right when I scroll down the page? March 30th, 2019, 12:45 pm EDT

Im struggling with like the auctions.. If the endtime is like 10.00 am EST.. How do I then know what the time is on the sight? As Im confused and cant figure out when the auction ends "my time"..

My time is now March 30th, 2019, 17:50 pm (sweden)..

Hm, I guess this sounds really blurring..

Yeah EST is site time, which as you noted is the time in the bottom right corner of the page.
It looks like Sweden's Time Zone is about 5 hours ahead of MS's time zone. So if an auction ends at 10am EST, you adds on 5 hours, that would put it at 3pm your time.
Basically just take the time in the bottom corner of the page (the site time) and add 5 hours.

BBkat answered perfectly, but I just wanted to add an extra tool that helps me.

When things are in different time zones I like to make myself a countdown using this site here
https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/create

It can countdown to the very last second for you! For EST/MS time, just put in a place like Toronto and you'll be good to go.

Hope that helps

Just to add - since Sweden joined summertime, also called daylight savings time (dst), this weekend, Sweden is now 6 hours ahead of Magistream. ^_^ The time difference is usually 6 hours, but the US starts their DST three weeks before Europe.

Another way to remember Magistream's timezone is that the site shares time with New York City https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/usa/new-york
<3 Thank you so much for my pressies! <3
