How do you lock the groups in your keep? I’ve seen other members that have locked and I’m curious about how you do it

Do you mean protect the tabs?
If yes, you have to buy the Spell of Protection from the shop Trading Post

If you want to hide your tabs, you have to buy the Spell Of Cloaking from the shop Remy's Inn

To be clear, there isn't technically a way of locking groups or pets. All the Protection Tab does is make your pets unable to be clicked for growth aka it's a great way to have hatchlings protected from growing up if you wish to keep them as hatchlings for as long as you want.

And just so you know, there is another scroll.. The Spell of Cloaking.. that actually hides your tabs, so that only you and the admins can see them. If you click on a creature and get a message saying it doesn't exist, that means it's in a hidden tab that only it's owner can see.

You get the Spell of Cloaking from Remy's Inn and the Spell of Protection from the Trading Post.. both cost 75k to purchase.
