Thanks. :) YOu too. If we keep plugging along, eventually we'll get somewhere.

Ok, I think I've discovered the issue. (I HOPE) No reply from the admin yet, but I THINK I have sorted myself out.

So, everything I've read on the Wiki, on here, etc, tells me I was looking for a quest called 'The Invitation". NOTHING like that was showing up, at all. However, looking at it today, I noticed a quest at the bottom called "Water Magi: Lord of the Seas" Decided to click on it. Its watery. . .

This took note of the mermaid and proceeded me into a quest called "Water Magi: Society of the Trident". Now it wants 10k gold + m/f gold pearl wyrm and m/f ocean leviathan.

So - it looks to me. . .like the quest has changed names. Same quest, different title.

I'm off to work on the hatchlings. I'll follow it through and make sure. But yeah - that. . .was confusing.

The quest to enter the Water Guild starts with the quest "Water Magi: Invitation" and then proceeds to differently named steps all beginning with the prefix "Water Magi".

All quest steps, their names, and their texts can be seen in the Library: library.php

Thank you, Rosehill. :)

I must have clicked on the first one at some point, not knowing what I clicked on. I looked all over the wiki and it just kept saying "Invitation". Nothing about 'Water Magi" that I saw. lol So, yeah. Guess I got all turned around. Seem to be on the right track now.

Thank you for the link. I didn't realize the library was there. :)

I just want to point out, you wouldn't have needed the Face Changer quest since you hadn't actually joined a guild. It's only for leaving a guild you're part of. When you aren't part of any guild you can start any and all of the guild quests if you choose, but you'll only be able to finish one of them.

So many questions...and I can't find the one with the answer I need.

I am at the point of joining the Society of the Trident. I have my 10,000 gold, plus a few extra. I have my male and female Ocean Leviathans, I had 2 male Golden Pearl Wyrms, one of which I changed to a female using the gender-changing potion. However, the quest will not accept me. Do I have to wait a bit for the gender-changed Wyrm to be official (even though it states on its stats column that it's female) or does the system not recognize the change but only how it was originally? Nothing under the wiki-description for the quest says anything about how the potion will effect the game.

One of my hatchling leviathans is close to maturing, so I am rather concerned. Guess I'll go and breed another one, just in case, once that union is not in cool down anymore.

Anyway, thanks so much for considering a reply.

Is anything named and/or lineaged?

And are the creatures in your main tab?

Thank-you for replying! :D

Creatures are in my main tab. I did breed my Ocean leviathans since it takes the Tropical and Storm leviathans to make them. I also bred my Wyrms, too, to get them, since they don't show up very often in the stream. I kept looking, so I know. LOL When I checked the wiki Quest description, under The Invitation, it says "Obtain", not "From the Stream". The word "Obtain" has a very broad definition here, with no clear restriction. I've copied and pasted the instructions here for reference ...

The Invitation

How to Proceed

Go to The Keep section in the MagiStream World.
Select Invitation and continue by selecting Accept
Tasks

First you need the Mermaid Ally. If you have her in your Keep you may proceed, if not you will first need to complete quest #9 - Vasial's Crush.
Obtain a male/female pair of Ocean Leviathan hatchlings, a male/female pair Golden Pearl Wyrm hatchlings and Gold10,000
Rewards

Membership to the Society of the Trident.
Access to the Water Shop.
Additional Notes

The hatchlings and gold will be lost, the Mermaid ally will stay with you.
If you are already part of another guild you must first complete quest #13 - The Face Changer in order leave it so you can join. You cannot be in two groups at once.

Ah, I'm afraid you've misunderstood something. You don't have Golden Pearl Wyrms in your main tab. You have Grey Pearl Wyrms. Goldens do not drop in the stream, they're a hybrid. You'll need to breed a Copper Pearl Wyrm to a Black Pearl Wyrm to get Goldens, although you might be able to find some for sale or for borrowing in the MD.

D: D:

Well, THAT explains a few things. :derr: Honestly thought it said gray... I'm going to my optometrist's today to get my new glasses, so maybe that will help. LOL

Thank you for kindly pointing me in the right direction, or at least highlighting the problem and solution.
