Hi! So I am having a hard time trying to find a profile picture that will work. All of them say the pixel size is to big and I don't know how to get a picture that small... Can someone help? Thanks!

I've been having the same issue. I tried dozens of images and none worked. You seem to have figured it out tho!

A chunk of it is in the way the images are compressed. 
GIFs tend to not work well.
I personally recommend uploading to another source and using the URL linking method instead. This bypasses the size of the image issue.
