Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times before. I did a search but couldn't find the information I was after!

I just started the quest to bring koi eggs to Mordecai. I have two ruby koi and an amethyst koi and I was planning on breeding my own eggs for the quest, but the bestiary entry says the Amethyst can't breed and the Ruby can only breed with a Amethyst Capricorn... whatever that is?

Just wondering if I breed with an Amethyst Capricorn will it give me a chance at a koi egg for my quest? Or do I just have to keep trying to get eggs from the pond and freezing them?

The Koi eggs needed for the quest are the stream koi, not the pond koi. #1 in the bestiary.

Thank you MistyoC! I didn't even realise. That makes things much less stressful. I was worried I'd have to stand next to the koi pond throwing all my gold in. :')
