I had the creatures and the gold. It looks like 90 gold was deducted but that is it. The creatures where not on the main tab, should they have been before I accepted the quest?

Pretty sure they do have to be in your main tab best I remember - also it takes 15,000 gold not 90 and the creatures can't be a part of a family. Don't think it would take the gold unless you completed the quest too.

the quest disappeared so I cant even go back to it. I got the creatures loaned to me so I assumed they where good.

The quest changes location after the first part, it should be in the Caves of Nareau now.

And no the creatures aren't taken in this quest, nor do they need to be in the main tab.

you get the icist egg after that don't you or do you have to do the part in the cave first?
