Can't breed the newer creatures?

Can't breed the newer creatures?
I noticed that a lot of the newer species (like the eels, daeodus, and hedgehogs) aren't able to be bred. Is that a permanent thing, or will they eventually be able to? If it's permanent, what's the reasoning for it? I'm not complaining, just curious.

It takes some time for new creatures to get the breeding option after their release. Usually it's something like 1-3 months, excepting those who will produce a hybrid. The Creature Release News thread 3-site-news/200404-creature-release-news.html will have information on all releases whether or not they will be able to breed eventually. As a rule of thumb all Stream releases will be able to breed eventually after their release. (:
