Can anyone tell me what happened here and if there's some way to retrieve my hatchling? I'm 100% sure I only released the egg!

So here's what happened: I'm currently trying to breed for a quest, I had this hatchling creature/9521416 and got another egg from an Ibex/ Koi pair, turned out it wasn't the one I needed so I tossed it (because I already have 3 other eggs for the quest), I keep breeding and get a Meridian Capricorn egg I want to embed this one and my Tidal Capricorn hatchling, but there I realize that my hatchling is gone
Can anyone tell me what happened here and if there's some way to retrieve my hatchling? I'm 100% sure I only released the egg!

Sorry, but you did release the Tidal hatchling. It's owner is listed as Anonymous and that only happens when creatures are released.
Please do not ask for any of my creatures. I will most likely ignore any requests.
