In your own threads, after one has been locked, would it be a good idea to have quick-mod tool option labelled "Flag for Deletion"? And then the upper mods would have a (hidden to public) forum with all the flagged topics. I think it would just be useful to help weed out the compilation of locked threads at the end of every forum.

No offense but why make more work for the mods? Topics auto delete after 30 days (in most cases) with no new posts.Namyre wrote:In your own threads, after one has been locked, would it be a good idea to have quick-mod tool option labelled "Flag for Deletion"? Yes, but still—there are masses of locked threads choking out the live ones in every forum. The mods wouldn't need to get any sort of notification(unless they subscribed to the "marked for deletion" forum), only the forum would fill up. They'd be able to view all of the threads in case anything looked suspicious. They could even have a little array of quick tools like that in the PM'ing system: little check boxes beside each thread, "mark/unmark as important," "delete marked," "mark all" and "unmark all."HiddenMystic wrote:

And how do you know the tealies don't already have those options and just let the forums work as they have for a long time with no problems?Namyre wrote:Yes, but still—there are masses of locked threads choking out the live ones in every forum. And the locked threads eventually go to the last page anyway - they don't clog up the live threads for very long at all - as threads behind them get posted in they go further back til they hit the last page of the forum where they auto delete in a month's time.
As I said before - why make more work for the mods...why should they have to do something that isn't necessary on top of what they already do...if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Enter: OCD. You are right, we don't know if the upper mods have this already(but I doubt it). Yet, this is merely a suggestion—I'm not in charge of anything. I just wanted to see what kind of feedback I would get.HiddenMystic wrote: ...if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Spoiler
Funny thing about suggestions... My cousin is the one who suggested Mermaid Allies all so long ago...
