I agree with this. When emerald wyvrans first came out, I made a deal with another person to make a pair so we could both get first gen eggs from them. IT was fine for a while and then she just stopped responding! After about 3 weeks I ended up writing a mod and they told me she had been frozen...while she had my pet.

So even if you Say "if you don't trade with me in 48 hours it will be canceled" you have to pm a mod to be allowed to do this? Ok then I'm never hiding holds for people in trades anymore. That is just soo sooo very dumb.

I like the idea of a list. It allowed us to know who was banned. Maybe it wasn't needed back in the old days but Magistream has grown enormously since then. Mods already worry about too much. Why give them more work? Shai, while you may enjoy it, others and any future mods may not enjoy that when a list or some sort of indicator could be easily implemented(which is actually very common on most sites. Not having it is actually uncommon and rather illogical) so mods have one less thing to worry about. And honestly....there's almost no such thing as privacy on the internet these days. You can't really use that as an argument is the mods will just tell people anyway. If privacy was a concern, the mods would tell no one.

Speaking as one of the people BBKat's mentioned that lost out on some creatures when someone was banned, I'm here to do what I do best and be the devil's advocate. what about the players who get a temp ban? Granted, yes, they did something against the rules and therefore are at fault, but when they come back, what if it was enough to straighten them out and they're a model player? If there's a list or even a marked difference in their account's appearance, what's to stop players who never had dealings with the temp banned person from making a huge deal, adding them to their blacklists, and making Magistream unpleasant for them?

Yeah, it's a pain when you have gold/creatures sitting in limbo but I can see this simple suggestion making more work for the very people everyone is saying this will save from more work.

Does Magistream even DO temp bans? We didn't when I was a mod, but that was back in year 1. A lot has changed since then.

Yeah. I think they last like, a week or something(not personal experience).

You also apparently can get banned from certain parts of the site i.e the MD(not speaking from experience but something I heard another user talking about)

Shenzi was temp banned at some point.

I knew about the banned from areas, but not the temp. Interesting. (and what a stupid mess in the HWYD. Guh... people are dumb)
