A carpet-like grass monster? Sort of like a living lawn.

(Example) Creature description: The Grasslawnius is a curious creature that hatches from a single, magically altered blade of grass. This blade is planted in fertile soil, and requires only sun and water. Starting from this, it spreads slowly outward until it covers about half an acre ((I researched this... sorta. Average lawn=half an acre. Google FTW!)) and then, in its adult stage, pulls itself from the ground and becomes a mobile creature.It waves itself across the ground, moving slowly. Favored by Magi who specialize in potions or herbal magic, the Grasslawnius can grow many types of plants instantly from itself, or store plants so that they are fresh when Magi need them so. Another, although rarely used, property of this creature is of camouflage. When it lies on the ground, it can sink it's roots in and appear completely inconspicuous. It then grows all manner of flora which it's Magi can hide in, concealing him/her from danger. Even in adult form, all Grasslawnius require is sun and water, and an occasional mowing every now and then. Be warned- although it is helpful, low-maintenance, and good camouflage, the Grasslawnius can be messy. It scatters dirt and grass all over as it moves, and this quality can make it exasperating to clean up after. This is not a creature for neat and OCDish Magi!
