We need that moth on here. For the DB shop, if nothing else. That's moths design...it's wonderful.

o___o That is terrifying.
I knew about the tear drinking one (except for the eye poking bit).

I did not know about the tear thing I just knew there was a moth or butterfly that drank blood after watching something on tv awhile back about blood drinking animals.

That's already on the list. Also "alicorn" is the word for a unicorn's horn after it's been removed from the unicorn. I have no idea how it came to be associated with winged unicorns. Pegacorn and Unisus are equally silly names since Pegasus was a specific winged horse. (that said, of the two, I prefer Unisus over Pegacorn)
Hawke's IRL fiance, Lunaroki, suffered a massive stroke and died on Tuesday, March 31st, 2015.

Hawke needs to concentrate on other things, and is leaving MS permanently.

Thank you all for many fun years.

Alicorn also seems to refer to the substance from which the horn is made, at least aaccording to one of my books.
Calling them 'winged unicorns' works fine imo, no idea why alicorn is what people call them.

For whatever reason I always referred to them unicorn-pegasus when I was younger.

Right! That's what I meant. I guess I just took it to the next step of "where do you get alicorn if it's not still on the unicorn?"

xD
But you're still right, the horn, as well as what it's made from are both referred to as 'alicorn', not winged unicorns.
