Re: Official Creature Suggestion Thread
What about a green capricorn? I don't have any recolors, but yeah. Like a jade would be a little more cloudy and olive color, while peridot would be a little more clear and regular green. I guess I could get a recolor somewhere and I might be able to pull one off myself, but only if people think this is a good idea.

Re: Official Creature Suggestion Thread
Has a Tion and a Tiger been suggested? If not, I'm suggesting it. I saw the Liger was suggested though. What creature is similar to the Lion and the Liger? The Manticore?

Re: Official Creature Suggestion Thread
i keep and breed RL koi, and would love to see them add species like a Shubunkin type (calico with long fins), and/or a lionhead oranda fantail to the mix, either breedable from the species not yet tied in or as eggs in the pond - also to have, say, the new one (dragon koi? though i'm unthrilled with its color scheme...why pink and baby blue, i wonder) crossfertile with hippocampus to produce a Nixie (mythical WaterHorse). also they could insert a cross between octopus and kraken to make, mmm, a giant jellyfish a la Portuguese Man'o'War...a Mock Turtle to companion the Griffins would be nice (see Tenniel Alice illustrations) - we have no turtles of any kind yet, so it ought to be popular. Selkie seals have potential, as does some kind of feline/owl meld.
...just doubled back and checked the lists, think i'm ok - the only ones that came up are the koi variants, mentioned, but none specified. if we are going to fool around with extinct birds, how about the Carolina Parakeet, the only hookbill (formerly - grrrrr) native to the US? last 2 birds - both male - passed away around the turn of the century in a zoo aviary - there is a rumor (we hope it's true...and if so may they NEVER be found) that a small colony survives in the Everglades. like its cousin the Quaker Parakeet, they were highly social birds living colonially and travelling in "village" flocks. their loyalty to one another made them pathetically easy to exterminate, as injuring a few birds in the group would bring the entire flock to the ground to protect them until they could take off, leaving them wide open to be mown down. (this, by the way, is a paraphrase of an Audubon quote about the ease of obtaining specimens - he was a bit more matter-of-fact...for those who were unaware, John James Audubon painted dead, stuffed birds, usually those he had shot or trapped personally.)

Re: Official Creature Suggestion Thread
That was long. But I was thinking a more diffrent approuch. i was thinking that maybe you should create a cross between a Fish, and a gaint cat. more then likely a Panther. Or a tiger. Moe water friendly if a Tiger. It would have a long propeller like tail and webbed feet with unseathable claws and a coat inbetween Scaley and soft. It odd idea but I think that is a good idea. Sorry If I didnt ready everything correctly in others posts but All I see is aot of words if too long. It scary to me. It's colors would be a variety of a greenish tinge and glassy but large eyes, acustomed to the murky depths. And the eyes would be yellow adn blackish green scaley coat. Green and purplish blue. Brown and Yellowish red. the colors would be darker going tword the paws and tails and ears and nose. If Tiger, it's stripes would be the darker color of the two colors.
What is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets.
Re: Official Creature Suggestion Thread
I saw this thread after I had dug through all my old files and found my oldest creatures, Necs.
It's a reptile thing that has the ordinary shape of a t-rex but longer arms. It has two huge horns on its head and a mace ball on its tail. It has spikes from the back of its head, all down its neck, back and tail and ends just at the mace ball. Necs have sharp teeth, very sharp teeth, and are usually hissing or something and have their claws out.
They have many different colours but what's strangest about them is that they have scales but also are partly made of stone. They have stone patches. The stone and scales vary in type.
Necs only have three types, Molten, Ice and Mist. Mim. Lol.
Anyway, the main one is Ice.
The eggs are just whatever colour of scales it will have and spots for what colour the stone will be (i.e for ice it's blue egg with pale brown stone)
The Hatchling is basically the same as the adult except only a tiny bit of their horns is shown and their claws and teeth are very small. They are an adult Nec minimized.
