I like this idea. zodiac animals.

There could also be a creature which is like... based on fruits - or vegetables...
(I know, sounds so random)

Like an onion lion instead of having a mane it would have like some creeper looking onion deal around it's head and people burst into tears when the get to close

Um, well, the other day I thought of an idea;
Basically it's kinda like a dragonfly, but it looks like a rose. It's head is very large and round compared to it's body, and is made of large ruby red scales that almost resemble rose petals. It has tiny, beady eyes in the front of it's head.
It's wings look like rose leaves, with sharp spikes along the edges. Thorns are up and down it's tiny, stick like body, and that's it's only defense mechanism, other than it's speed.
It has eight, tiny legs which are exceedingly strong and are used to hold onto branches and such.
It's excellent for stealth missions because of it's size and disguise. The only problem is that they're very fragile and are easily snapped in half.
I also have a picture, but it's very low quality and badly drawn ;

TSR's copy rights to their specific concept of the Gorgon is currently held by Wizards of the Coast. So their version of the Gorgon is going to be off limits. (Now basing something off the Greek myths concerning the Gorgons is perfectly allowable.)

What about something like a weasel, with large ears that curve up to a point, a short snout and long tail that ends with an arrow with small spikes along its back. A slinder body like a weasel, with short legs and small paws that have small yet sharp claws. And maybe a little horn on the top of its nose.

You're right I didn't even realize that Zafaras had spikes along their backs until I went and Googled it... the only difference is that they don't have visible claws or horns on their noses. Of course, it might look different in the suggester's mind. xD

ooh those are cute I love the frog Sorry for suggesting things already here. I was thinking of a sea turtle with some sort of forest on its back as well
