Re: Official Creature Suggestion Thread
Well, yes, we have donis that are snakes or based on snakes, but we don't have any shop creatures that are snakes and only 1 creature with two color variations in the stream. Boomslangs are cool too.

Re: Official Creature Suggestion Thread
Man, I had the coolest idea for a hybrid as well! Ah well, I do have an interesting idea for a sort of bird.
I can't really think of a name, but I affectionately named it a "wyvern" Because that is it's general body shape. It's not a wyvern. It has the body traits/colors of a bearded vulture. It has an s-curved neck, that attaches to a body where the lower end starts to sink, similar to a hyena. They would be very small, only about 3-4 inches from head to tail, with a wingspan of about 6 inches. At the curve of their wing, where you would normally find a dragons claw, they have three talons, used for climbing, and rooting around for dead scraps. They can also used their talons for digging out social burrows in trees, and live in small to large (3-20+) colonies, and are tricky, mischievous, and playful. They have a love of shiny things, and often steal things from unsuspecting magi to adorn themselves, or their burrows with. They are very vain. They can't fly well, they mostly glide, because flying is hard for them. Their back legs are compact, and thick, with short talons ending in blunt, armadillo-like claws. Their tail is short, thick, and stubby, though it is present, and makes up about an inch or less of their total length. It's mostly used for balance on the ground. They also have a lot of feathers, and are rotund, awkward looking creatures, but charming because of it. Perhaps the name Nocturnus Bird, is fitting?
Here's more I thought of
Moon-Face Panthers
Take just a normal panther, keep it's short, stubby legs (I think they look stubby, anyway) and give them a longer, more sinuous body. Crescent moon marks on their faces, and shoulders, and their tails end in wicked sharp blades, perhaps the color determines the gender? These would be more flighty and mysterious, but vastly intelligent, and curious of the world.
My next idea is a Sickle-claw
A great big brown, or black bear, with the standard four legs being normal, but a second pair of smaller, more dexterous legs tucked just behind their forelegs. Each of their claws are sythe-shaped, hence the titled. They are secluded, but studious, stealing scrolls from young magi, and using them to further their own education.
That's all I got for original creatures...
We should have a hybrid of the seals and the wolves, to make seal Akhluts

Re: Official Creature Suggestion Thread
We have the Roc, which is like an eagle. The sprite had a photo of an eagle used for inspiration and reference.
I'm afraid a harpy would likely be too human to be a creature. It would likely have to be an ally, but aren't they generally considered evil?
