Okay yesterday afternoon I was using the Twitter button on the critter pages as I have for almost ten years - click the button, it goes with the setup post and click the tweet button. No problems - everything is great. I use an old laptop if this makes any difference.

Fast forward 2 hours - get back from running errands and go to tweet my critters...click the tweet button and it takes me to the homepage of Twitter with no preset tweet in sight?? Not to mention there was apparently some stupid update to the design which I really hate but could deal with if the preset tweets would reappear. As it is I am having to copy and paste every freaking link to be able to tweet it - anyone have a clue as to why or what I can do to bring the preset tweets back?'

Hope this makes sense - I know what it is doing but no clue as to why or how to fix it if I can?

it has done that to me before also. I copied the links and did it manually and then eventually it fixed itself. I have no idea what causes it though Sorry, my friend, I wish I had better answer other than "I don't have a clue".

Oh okay - well at least I now know it has happened to others in the past then. Hopefully its hissy fit won't be a long one.

So when this happens, pay attention to when you finish clicking the twitter button and before you click Tweet, see if happens to say after the normal magistream message of help my pets grow etc....does it say undefined after that? If it does, that means we used up all of our links for the month from bit.ly and basically you will have to manually type your message by hand to tweet your eggs.

This has happened before especially during events when we (the MS community) tweet too much our eggs.

I had this happen today and that's what I realized.

Yeah I know about the undefined thing - that's not my problem though.

Sometimes, when I clear my cache this disappears for me.

I do this every nite before I turn off the computer. Didn't help.

So waited for the bitly links to reset...now I get this in the address bar but still doesn't show up to tweet.
It is all greek to me - but maybe it makes some sense to someone else?

ETA - and this is what is in the address bar when I use a Firefox addon so I don't have to copy and paste every freaking link to post it...
It has this in the tweet box - a sort of preset tweet? Can just click and tweet like I used to...
